it's possible that he's referring to the colored vinyl pressing of the record.
-
can you link us to the actual page for the record?
-
Some people said that preorders from Sundazed ship really early.
Perhaps. But I'd rather have my order shipped by 2 day UPS or a courier than for it to be handled by media mail services from the post office.
-
I ordered this from Amazon. With media shipping, it's $106 from Sundazed. It's $106 on Amazon but I have Amazon Prime so hopefully I'll have it quicker that media mail from Sundazed.
-
I forget, does Kings Road charge preorders now or when the order ships?
-
So has everybody who signed up for the fanclub received their t-shirt packages? I still haven't received mine. Mind you, not that I actually want the thing but I did pay $25 for it.
-
sweet! i guess i'll place an order for it then. cheers dude!
-
was there a download or CD with the vinyl?
-
I have the picture disc which is supposedly limited to 500 copies yet insound still has it in stock amongst various other retailers. Makes me think the pressing info on this is deflated.
I think everybody assumes that the picture disc pressing was limited because the other picture discs for the other 3 BP albums were limited to 500.

Chances are, you're going to have to buy it and open to find out what color it is. Especially if there isn't any indication of what color it is on the shrinkwrap. There's a good chance it's black.

Thanks for the headsup on this. I was looking around trying to see if it was getting a US pressing and couldnt find anything. Luckily I got an Amazon giftcard I havent used to be able to cover this!
you can use Amazon US gift cards on their UK site?
-
i'm interested to see if Amazon UK ships their vinyl in the same packaging as their US counterpart now. the last time i ordered from them, the cover had a top and side seam splits and was shipped in a regular oversized non-record mailer box.

Looking to complete my Oasis 7" singles collection. These are the four that I need. Only looking for UK Creation Records/Big Brother Records pressings. Prefer to buy but might be willing to trade if the offer is right.
Supersonic (Creation Records)
Shakermaker (Creation Records)
Wonderwall (Creation Records)
Songbird (Big Brother Records)

this album is obviously not better than SOS or 59 Sound but it's miles better than American Slang
-
Get the second Tremor Control album.
Also try Neutral Milk Hotel and The Music Tapes.

Amazon has this for a tenner. I picked one up when they played in LA on Sunday. It was $15 but I figured they could use the extra money. You know, for gas. Touring ain't cheap.

Where are you getting this information? It is totally false and incorrect. Warp did not put out the records in the US and Canada, Sire did. The rights in the US are Sires to license, not Warps, and Sire are the ones that licensed them to 1972. The Warp versions are for the UK market only, because Warp would be in violation of the US license agreement if they even tried to sell these in the US. How in the world do you think 1972 could possibly exist in this world if they did bootlegs of Echo and the Bunnymen and Aphex Twin? Completely inaccurate and unbacked nonsense. Want me to back up my info?? Look at the album pages on discogs.
Calm down, Captain Angry Birds.
By the way, Discogs, like Wikipedia, is user-generated so anybody can enter information on there but it doesn't make it bible truth.
-
Are these different from the ones on Midheaven?
The ones on Midheaven are put out in the US by 1972. Those aren't fully authorized reissues. Since Warp was the label that originally put out the albums, their reissue are most likely legit.

What is an HT+1 account?
amongst other things, it's their mailing list.

Thanks for the code, just ordered from SSD.
The articles in the first post show 8/13 as the release date, but the SRC newsletter that just came out is saying 9/18. Anyone know which date is more accurate?
August 13 is the UK release date for the UK Back to Black reissue. September 18 the US release for the MoFi reissues.

Got mine today. I kind of wish it had more green in it. But I'm happy I got this variant.
