Let's talk about ska. Favorite bands? Records? Any represses you'd like to see, or anything you'd like to see pressed that's never been on vinyl? Any new releases you're looking forward to? Any new bands people are getting excited about? So far it looks like it's going to be a good year for ska. Sammy Kay's new album is comming out in the next few months, Deal's Gone Bad, the Slackers and the Resignators should have new albums out this year, and I'm sure there's more comming that I haven't mentioned or don't know about.

Didn't see any mention of it on here, so I figured I'd throw it out. Big D is doing a Kickstarter for two new albums that are slated to be released in the summer for Warped Tour: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1297569246/big-d-and-the-kids-table-two-new-records?ref=live One album is "an upbeat Ska-Punk record for their fans that love high-energy music" while the other is "a Stroll-Reggae record for listeners who enjoy the band's more eclectic sound". Both albums are being pressed on "quality heavy-weight virgin vinyl" and are available through the Kickstarter. ... Now I get subjective. They're asking $100 for the two LPs which just seems like way too much. I understand that they are also trying to raise money to cover recording costs, but $100 is a LOT of money for only two albums. I'm stoked for the new music, but I'll probably wait until after they come out to pick them up.

Comming August 28th from Stomp Records is The Beatdown's second album "Walking Proud" I'm really excited about this, their first album was fantastic. Haven't heard anything about a vinyl release of this album yet, but their first album was pressed, and I'm sure this one will too. August is shaping up to be a good month for ska/reggae! So does anybody know anything about this band? I've been trying to look up some info on them and I can find almost nothing other than they have some members of RX Bandits and Chris Murray Combo. The only album from them I can find is Savor Every Moment. Did they make any more albums? Are they still playing or are they broken up? Does anybody know? Any info would be appreciated.

Comming out August 21 on Paper + Plastick. I'm super pumped for this album. Seriously waiting all summer for it. Just wondering if any Westbound Train fans have been excited for this like I have. @Thomas: Do you have any clue when the PO is going up seeing as this is 3 weeks away? Any clue on how the vinyl is comming along? Any news would be appreciated, seeing as how I can't find hardly any news about it on the P+P website.

Desperate for this record. I know it is a lot to ask for. May be willing to trade, may pay almost any amount of money. This album is very sentimental to me.

Does anybody know when this is comming out or when it's being released? Or most importantly, is it getting pressed on vinyl? I think chances of it getting pressed is pretty good considering every release since "Strictly Rude" has been pressed on vinyl. Preorders are up at Interpunk, SRC and Side One Dummy.
