Here's the cover art for AS WE DRAW's forthcoming album «Mirages» created by Romain Barbot/Iamsailor. «Mirages» is due out October 4th via Throatruiner Records - comes on limited clear 2xLP packaged in a deluxe triple-gatefold jacket and on CD digifile. A first track will be online in a few days. "«Mirages» is the outstanding second full-length from french powerhouse AS WE DRAW. Pursuing their will of constant evolution since 2009, these Laval natives have imposed their unique take on post-metal and noisy hardcore, crafted through ambitious songwriting and disarming live performances. Three years in the making, the follow-up to 2010's «Lines Breaking Circles» shows a band decided to challenge themselves as much as the listener (if not even more), out of every sub-genres conventions and commonplaces. As a proof, the album starts with the longest track ever wrote by the band. The ten-minutes mudslide that is "The Window" flows from eerie and intricate melodies to overwhelming parts, before descending into an unreal, glacial ending. This record is the culmination of the power trio's hard-earned mastery, where dense and nervous tracks ("Blackmail", "Denial") stand alongside richly atmospheric and massive soundscapes ("Shipwreck", "Fata Morgana"). Engineered and mixed at La Senelle by their drummer Amaury Sauvé, mastered by Magnus Lindberg, and lyrically exploring the theme of paranoïa seen through different eyes, «Mirages» is destined to remain an awe-inspiring piece of dark and forward-thinking heavy music." Recorded live by Nicolas Aigros at La Senelle Studio, Laval Produced, engineered and mixed by Amaury Sauvé Mastered by Magnus Lindberg Graphic Design by Romain Barbot/Iamsailor
We are handling official distribution for Throw Me Off The Bridge's new 12"LP/CD «Blindfolded Traveler». Stream two tracks at this location. "Forceps" will be released on LP/CD/tape on December 31th, pre-orders and free download will be up shortly. "CALVAIIRE is the union of four individuals with no higher ambition than to push their own boundaries into a raw, cathartic sound. Recorded in five days in their hometown of Laval (France) with Amaury Sauvé (producer/sound engineer for Birds In Row & As We Draw, acts with which the band shares members), their debut full-length "Forceps" displays their personal vision of how aggressive music should sound - bleak, visceral metallic hardcore played with the hunger of starving dogs, while lyrically addressing seclusion, anxiety and forging ahead despite prevailing vacuity. These ten tracks were tracked in a live setting, resulting in a massive, unpolished, and raw recording that accurately mimics the tense and the unpredictable character of "Forceps". From the mood swings of "Flétrissure" to the heartless assault of the closing track "Meurtrières", the band demonstrates their will to explore the most abrasive subgenres without losing focus on songwriting, creating an ambitious but coherent piece of work where nothing is left to chance."
Pre-orders & full streaming - http://bit.ly/birds-po Free download - http://bit.ly/birds-dl This is the european repress of BIRDS IN ROW's «Collected» with a slightly different jacket (with spot UV varnish instead of the die-cut). US version still available via Vitriol. "Birds In Row make hardcore punk with an utterly anthemic vibe. Vocals seethe with realness while a burly rhythm section pounds out a bulletproof, mid-tempo foundation worthy of Young Widows or Sweet Cobra. Much like Ghostlimb, Birds In Row convey lifetimes’ worth of emotion without ever sounding weak. The heart is laid bare but the spine is intact. Collected consists of the entire Rise of the Phoenix 7” and Cottbus EP, plus the first song the band ever recorded, “Phoenix”, which has not seen the light of day until now. All music on Collected was recorded by Amaury Sauvé at La Senelle Studio in Birds In Row’s hometown of Laval, France, and mastered by Sylvain Biguet."
