It may be pretty old news my friend...? The only pressing I'm familiar with is the original in 2007. According to Amazon, this pressing doesn't come out until 12/9. ratbrain
I really like Nick Drake but I've never ventured past the 3 proper albums. Which of these are essential?

jbrana
I really like Nick Drake but I've never ventured past the 3 proper albums. Which of these are essential? Honestly, all three of them are pretty good, and official releases from the estate. However, I find Made To Love Magic and Family Tree to be the better of the three... Made To Love Magic includes some alternate takes and three songs that Nick recorded after Bryter Layter that were previously never released. Family Tree is a compilation of home demo recordings that Nick recorded throughout the years including two original songs that his mother (Molly Drake) recorded at home, which are actually quite good. There is actually a Molly Drake album as well which I highly recommend: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F0LCCPU/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B00F0LCCPU&linkCode=as2&tag=theoffici075f-20&linkId=K4BR22ODZ763YZNJ
