vinylfilmaholic
Careful, they could make it from the 2002 remaster (which is loud as shit/peak limited and generally inferior to the 1992/93 CDs). Also, eat a dick A&M. "This has been remastered at 24-bit 96khz from them master tapes" THEN FUCKED WITH TO BE LOUD AND DYNAMIC-LESS. I love the Gin Blossoms... but how you gonna call yourselves the Gin Blossoms when you fired your alcoholic principal songwriter (who committed suicide thereafter) and then fire your alcoholic drummer and release a mediocre album? I've never heard the remaster so I'll take your word for it. But I'm not kidding, there are so many great albums from the 90s and early 00s that were released by major labels that aren't doing a damn thing with them! No one is stepping up to the plate to help either though.

I wouldn't settle for CD/WAV files if I was on the label end. What's the point.. unless you just want to cash in (sorta).

I would prefer not to have CD files cut to vinyl, but I'm not opposed to 24/96 high res cut to vinyl if done right so why don't the majors just make these high-res versions and let the indies who want to press the album have those instead of the masters?
