electricsnow
I just got my pink and coke bottle blue POI represses today in the mail but when i went to play them they're all slowed down. My player is set to 33 rpm's and still plays my other records just fine. Just because, i tried it at 45 rpm's and it was still slowed down. Anyone have any idea what the problem could be? I have no idea. ???
midnightbassmp
Mines like that too. I have an older turntable with a belt drive. I've learn to just deal with it and listen to it that way. Btw, mine was of the second press. All of the presses are like this and are made to be played at 45rpm which also deals with better sound quality. lpzgangsta
Is the record too tight on the spindle?
AlexH.
If it's playing slow at 45 rpm, you should check your motor or your belt. Play some other 45 rpm records and see if they're slow. POI is 45 rpm just so it'll sound better and to minimize distortion on the inner grooves.
electricsnow
I think the main issue was me trying to play it at 33 rpm and that the belt on my turntable was taken from another record player because i haven't gotten around to ordering the right one for my primary turntable yet. It's really iffy when set to 45 rpm, so im guessing the belt is slipping. Thanks for the help.
