But I've had a shit ton of problems with this laptop. So I'm expecting either something else to be wrong and probably end up having to buy a whole new one. You should be able to buy a fan for $5 or $6 off ebay and replace it yourself. Also try opening it up and adding a few drops of mineral oil to it can bring it back to life (depending on the problem). If you're having other problems though, that sucks. What kind of laptop is it, and what is the fan doing? PM me if you don't want the thread hijacked too much.
