My wife and I (and our kids, 3 and 4 months) are planning to head there as part of a trip that will include a stop in Montreal this August. We regularly go to Montreal, but I haven't been to Ottawa in ten years, and even then it was as part of a job to lead trips of grade 8s to parliament... Quick questions: 1. We're heading there by train (i.e., no car), and are looking for an area to find an Airbnb. What kinds of areas would be transit accessible and not too far from the core? 2. Any good record stores? rabbitvinyl Posted June 22, 2016 Share Posted June 22, 2016 I'm from Montreal but every time I'm in Ottawa (three or four times a year) I always stop by Vertigo Records on Rideau and The Record Centre on Wellington. I've found some interesting stuff in the used bins at Vertigo. There's also The Turning Point but I'm not a huge fan of their selection. It's also pretty cramped so I'm not sure how comfortable you'd be if your wife and two kids were there as well. As for Airbnb's, can't help you there as I usually only go for the day.
