Sure it can be done but it's very difficult and often better to cancel after the fact and remove the purchase link. Did you ever think about the implications of this? When is a item considered purchased, when you add to the cart or when you complete checkout? If its when you add to a cart then how long do you hold it, do you allow back orders, queue cart additions. Then what about fraudulent sales, when does that inventory go back in?
