hickey
I buy all my plastic sleeves at record stores...LPs you get 100 for $10 or $12 and for 7s you get 100 for $6 or $7. I need to find them for 10-inchers though.

cadetapplesauce
hey. for you guys who keep the records separate from the jacket in the plastic sleeve, do you guys keep 2xLPs in the same sleeve? i do, but it seems super bulky, maybe even more likely to bend the jacket and cause ringwear. but i really don't know. should i keep them in separate sleeves? bicyclepirate
I generally don't keep my records separate from the sleeves, maybe for some older, rare records it is a good idea. I've had several records for over ten years and still no signs of ring wear, so its not something that happens very fast. Although, 7"s seem to get ring wear much faster and so I have a few of those outside of the sleeves. I don't really like to do this for my LPs because it is much bulkier and I am running out a room for my records!
bicyclepirate
Another question: how often to people change their needles? I try to do it once a year, but I usually don't think about it
steventangent
local record stores should have them... other than that, bagsunlimited.com but it's not really that cheap I don't have any 'local record stores'. I live in the utter cultural void that exists between Chicago and Ann Arbor/Detroit. Really, Toledo, but we all know there is no culture there. faith
haha well next time you go to chi or detroit stop by a record store I feel your pain man... I've gone thru Toledo 4-5 times in train while going to Minneapolis and man... let's just say there's not much there
scottheisel
Toledo is the worst ever. A plane I was in got struck by lightning over Toledo once. And when I was working Taste Of Chaos last year, the venue in Toledo was an ice rink -- we had to set up all our shit on top of very thin pieces of plywood which covered said ice. It was freezing. jordan
I bought a copy of Bivouac at a record store in Toledo once. I can't remember what the name of the store was, though.
