goraiders
I'm in a landscape architecture class right now and it is by far the most interesting thing I've taken yet in college (right now i'm an econ major). I'm thinking about switching to this, anyone have any insight or info for me on how this is as a job and how hard it is to get a job? twat
If you go in to xeroscaping, your golden. Starting a company in that field is pretty lucrative. I took several classes in envirnomental horticulture, best investment ever.
xadamhudsonx
Check out biographies on Frederick Law Olmstead - the landscape architect for Central Park, the grounds of Biltmore, and the Chicago Worlds Fair in 1893. There are quit a few books written about him, way interesting. You can also check out Devil in White City, which features him quit a bit... and focuses on his ideas behind creating the landscape for the worlds fair.
