spikewilbury
I was thinking about getting a scanner for my albums instead of taking pictures. I use my cheap one on my printer to scan my 7", but it isn't big enough for LP's. I took a quick look online and didn't see any 12 x 12 scanners. Has anybody tried this? Duff
i dont even think they make scanners 12 inches wide. i think standard width is 8.5. if you could find a 12x12 i think it would be pretty pricey.
zak138
I have one at work that is 12x17. It's a umax powerlook 2100 xl if you want to look it up. I recently used it to scan lps for cd reissues.

Could you please scan Hello Bastards and Jersey's Best Dancers so Var can finally reissue them?
zak138
If people want to send me records to scan, I'll gladly do it. The catch, however, is that I will not return them!
desensitizedbyu
I'd love some hi-res cover art to rasterbate.

I found it on eBay. http://cgi.ebay.com/UMAX-POWERLOOK-2100-XL-PROFESSIONAL-DOCUMENT-SCANNER_W0QQitemZ170263338303QQcmdZViewItem Seems a little too cheap, compared to the other results online
zak138
looks like it probably just "fell off the back of a truck". If something looks to good to be true, it usually is.

I thought so too, but I got a Macbook Pro for 700 on eBay, and that was before the live.com sale thing. Sometimes it is, then sometimes not. zak138
the problem with ebay is there's usually no recourse if you get dicked over, but for $100, it might be worth a shot.
