sfurecords
NEWS 4-10-09 Two new records up for preorder and one still up from before. New webstore items also! PREORDERS ------------------------------------------------------------------------- SFU027 NAILS - "Obscene Humanity" 12" Ready for order is the debut 12" from Southern California's NAILS. With a veteran crew of band members and a few sparse but impressive shows under their belt, its time for the record to drop. "Obscene Humanity" is a 7 song blast of extremely raw and honest hardcore punk. The brutal track "Lies" was featured on the Deathwish/Malfunction/Six Feet Under Winter 2009 sampler. Nails will be playing the LA Murder Fest on Sunday May 10th along side with EyeHateGod, Dying Fetus, Beowulf and many others. Go to http://www.losangelesmurderfest.com/ for more info. Vinyl is pressed on deluxe 180gram vinyl. Comes with a digital download code. http://www.sixfeetunderrecords.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=686 SFU028 BROKEN PATTERNS - "s/t" 7" Another debut release from another SoCal band. Broken Patterns also features a lineup of veterans (Tear It Up/Cut The Shit/Knife Fight/Broken Needle among others). Borrowing heavily from the punk history of their surroundings, the self titled debut sounds like it could have been a release on Dangerhouse Records in 1979. Throw in a little essence of Dead Kennedys and there you go. This 4 song 7" is going to go fast. All copies will have silkscreened covers, with the first 100 being on colored vinyl. If you want both versions then order 2 copies. Comes with a digital download code. http://www.sixfeetunderrecords.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=687 Still up for preorder.. SFU026 MOTHER OF MERCY - "III" 12"/CD To almost everyone, the Samhain reference in the band name should serve to give you a hint of where these guys are coming from. To elaborate, let me throw out some more names for you - Only Living Witness, Undertow, with bits of old Metallica and contemporaries Iron Age. In short, what Mother Of Mercy brings to the table is punishing mid-tempo hardcore that's not short on monstrous riffs, demonic yowls, and parts designed to motivate every different variety of coreman to hurt the person standing next to them. After just a year and a half of existence they've released two well-received EPs on Collapse records, and in addition to their hometown dominance they've made it out to California for Sound and Fury '08 and just wrapped up a winter tour with the Mongoloids. Now with the release of their debut LP, Mother Of Mercy takes the time to flesh out their sound, as well as kick it up to the next level. With gatefold cover art and layout by E. of Swedish Black Metal powerhoue Watain to round out the package theres no way you can pass this record up. LP orders come with digital downloads LP - http://www.sixfeetunderrecords.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=38&products_id=536 CD - http://www.sixfeetunderrecords.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=535 There are three shirts available as wel to go with this releasel.
