I've never liked my middle or last name and for the last couple of years I had been using a different last name (Not on legal forms, though) , but never had it changed legally.

Last year my fiancee told me she didn't want to take my last name

as she puts it "Well, if you don't even like it, I shouldn't have to take it", she had a point and she joked around that she would take the last name I had been using, I thought it was a good idea and did all the paper work for the legal name change.

That's cool. I've heard of couples combining their last names into a new one (or just making a new one up altogether) when they get married.

in about 30,000 more debt.

managed to keep a long distance relationship amazingly

my drinking has turned into a noticeable problem, as well as blacking out.

i'm working on being happy rather than complacent.

A year ago i was just moving in with my lady. And now we're engaged. Never saw that coming!

Another year of school down, new coop, same girlfriend (3 years long distance). Still getting drunk a fair amount, got a bunch of new records. New dog, same car... overall I can't really complain.

I pretty much live in a fucking hotel.

I actually don't have a job, but that's just because I'm moving.
