I was wondering if anybody knows why the Japanese fans get bonus songs and sometimes DVDs and artwork to American artists cds? I read on another forum that the Japanese govt pays extra for it. enjoyadrian Posted December 13, 2009 Share Posted December 13, 2009 I'm probably wrong, but i thought it was because albums come out later in japan than in the states or the uk, so to lure people into not importing the cd, they throw the bonus stuff on the japanese edition to make it more special. I heard this, but also that CD's in Japan are typically much more expensive, so they tack on the extra songs to encourage people to not purchase import discs.
