ohnotherobot Posted May 27, 2010 Share Posted May 27, 2010 So, my gf and I are about to go for a walk and I am complaining about how I can't find any cool old stereo amps - the kind they used to make in the '70s when that shit was made for listening to records. About two blocks away I find this beauty, sitting on the curb, free for the taking. It works, at least in some capacity. I don't have proper speakers or speaker wire (yeah, yeah, I suck - but in my defense I will be getting a proper set-up in July/August) to test it. But out of curiosity I plugged my computer speakers into the headphone jack and definitely got some sound - not good sound, it was definitely full of crackles and only coming out of one speaker. I'm hoping that once I can get this properly set up all will be good. Definitely a rad find. ps - before you nerds jump all over me, I know you aren't supposed to have all this shit stacked on top of each other. pps - haven't taken my Rega P1 out of the box yet, but soon!
