kyleserlington
hmm i'm trying to remember, i've placed a pretty big order from them before too and i think it was in a big box with a huge plastic bubble thing in it for protection. i THINK the box was actually labeled "PHONOGRAPH RECORDS" too
Chhristopher
I was just saying the other day SST should put together a box set of all the Black Flag records (and Descendents, now that I think of it) a la the Bad Religion set Epitaph put out recently. I think that would be awesome.
atarirec
standard brown record mailer with bubble wrap. i ordered 5 minutemen records about 3 months ago from the fine folks at SST...all in stock at time of purchase (or so it stated on the website). i received the order minus two LP's... they stated they were out of stock. included with the order was an SST compilation cd. mxv
Unless they are on some sale that is cheaper than anyone else, buy the records from someone else. They'll likely just throw them in the box with little padding and as someone said, there's no guarantee you'll get yr full order. Don't hold yr breath for a box set, color vinyl edition or any remastering. They (greg ginn) is way too lazy for that and apparently doesn't see the value in any of that, least of all fixing all his label's CD from sounding like complete and utter shit. suburbanargyle
If SST reissued their back catalog they would get SOOOO much money from me. Good lord. Hopefully other bands will go the way of the Meat Puppets and take their catalogs elsewhere to be reissued with bonus tracks.
