Does anyone here actually DJ with records?

I know of a few DJ's in New Orleans that are pretty good, specifically DJ Soul Sister. All of her live sets are with records and her mixes are really really good.

I know it's not good for the record but whatever.

My cousin is a pretty well established dj in the Inland Empire(his stage name is Sly Hands). He does a set nightly on terrestrial radio, I'll see if he minds if I up some of his stuff on mediafire. I don't know what the terms are for mash ups and what not lol, I was into shitty punk and brew when he was learning to spin.

I DJ'd at a local show once. No mixing or whatever, just playing catchy songs between bands sets.

i dj from time to time at a local concert club between bands and during a weekend brunch they do. i almost exclusively bring vinyl because their tables are decent and it's just more fun. i don't do any beatmatching/etc but i do try to make the music seamless... not hard when most songs end on a held out note or fade-out.

I've done a few house parties and am getting my name more out there as back up for some clubs. Still haven't perfected my beat matching, but to the common ear, they won't notice
