counterfiction
Hit me up when you're here. I work at CD Central, actually.
scottheisel
CD Central is cool except for that huge, huge selection of white-power music that's hand-selected by counterfiction. Kinda weird is all.

pjaicomo
Take a one hour detour from Chicago - Knoxville and stop at Shake It Records in Cincinnati. One of the best stores in the country. Stopped in yesterday. We didn't stay as long as I would have if I were staying in Cincinnati, but it was pretty great. I got a few records. I have been in a lot of record shops, but there were some seriously weird people in there. Junkies and homeless people. There was some Australian dude just heckling a worker there (joking with him, but the guy was totally annoyed - so was I frankly). It went on for like 30 minutes. cactusbot
Haha. Sounds about right. That's half the fun. I hope you ate some chili also.

Knoxville has yielded some pretty marvelous vinyl results (especially given my expectations). Headed to Myrtle Beach tomorrow (which should be a vinyl wasteland). pjaicomo
Myrtle Beach is an abortion. In general and with regard to records (as I was warned). I did score some sweet tapes at a flea market. On to NYC in the next day or two.
pjaicomo
Change of plans: Stopping in Roanoke tomorrow. Any good spots there?
robx
richmond has vinyl conflict. nyc has a million, just go to both academy stores, and if you're feeling like killing some time, bleeker bobs or generation. philly has a few, but they're always wiped clean when I get there. dc has a few, but not worth going to the city for.
