Guest Posted September 12, 2011 Share Posted September 12, 2011 Can we set up a word filter so that "vinyl" just shows up as "vinyl" so we can stop this stupid joke or whatever about a stupid word? 6 or so posts of whining is much more annoying than a misspelling. deafmx Posted September 12, 2011 Share Posted September 12, 2011 the acceptable usage is vinylz. get into it. i have plenty of the records that are pressed off-center, and the tonearm sways back and forth as the record spins, causing a little scrape and hiss. super annoying. it's usually records pressed by United, as i'll always like to bitch about, since their pressing quality leaves so much to be desired. so, if the record was pressed by United and the center hole wasn't quite drilled out enough to fit your spindle, then that's most of your problem. be on the lookout for the circled u in your etchings, it's always a treat. my guess is this Lifeline pressing was done by them.
