axisrecapital
Just got the email that The Walkmen are repressing 1000 copies of Everyone Who Pretended To Like Me Is Gone....great record if you don't have it already....well, technically it is the first pressing if you don't count the Black and White pressings....but worth it! Preorder at: http://thewalkmen.kungfustore.com/products/3193-everyone-who-pretended-to-like-me-is-gone-180g-vinyl-lp-wlk01-lp

spider
Any idea of the specifics of the Black/White pressings? I own them on grey marble and I'm pretty sure I've seen them on white and black, but have no idea what all exists. Edit: That shipping is stupid indeed. Stopped me from ordering. axisrecapital
This is complicated, because there are numerous versions out there. To be clear, Everyone Who Pretended....was actually called the Black and White records on vinyl when originally released (just contained few extra songs) and there are multiple (Marcata and Troubleman United), however, some versionsare more limited than others. 1) To start with, you have the 2 LP Marble pressings: TMU 130 THE WALKMEN Black and White 2x12" This is a combination of the now out of print TMU 089 and TMU 094 LPs by the Walkmen. This record makes up their debut record "Everyone Who Pretended To like Me is Gone", plus a few extra songs only available here. These are the same exact records as TMU 089 and TMU 094, so you don't need to order them if you are looking for extra songs. These were pressed especially for The Walkmen's tour, due to high demand. 500 pressed. Limited marble vinyl for mailorder only. Hand screened covers by Neil Burke. The other pressing are individually for the Black record and the White Record, of which, there are 3 pressings of the White Album and 2 of the Black album. Two pressings of the White album are black vinyl (released between Troubleman and Marcata) and one very limited (100 copies) were pressed on white vinyl. The Black record has two pressings....standard on black and a very limited (100 copies) on clear vinyl. This is a cluster f!ck of records set to collect...if you buy the new pressing of Everyone Who Pretended (you don't get the extra songs of the Black and White Pressings) and you want to collect them all, you will technically have EIGHT records of the same release...of which, I am lame and will have 7 of the 8 because that damn elusive Black on clear vinyl is killing me...it showed up on Ebay a week ago and sold for $178, when I bought the mate sealed on discogs for $40...gotta love discogs...gotta hate Ebay. Your welcome and sorry to confuse...
axisrecapital
And even lamer is that the White version on White vinyl doesn't have the standard White Cover.... Limited edition of 100 copies on white vinyl. This edition has a black screen printed sleeve, rather than the standard white Talk about poor planning....
