EEberlyGTB
I plan on spending a few days in Seattle later this summer. Is it possible to get around ( public transit and such ) without renting a car? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Eric
riddle350
The short answer is yes, it's super easy to get around. Really it depends on what area of town you are planing on spending time. metro.kingcounty.gov is the transit website for all of Seattle. Certain areas can be annoying to get to in the evening(West Seattle, Ballard, Northgate, George Town). But if you need to take a taxi just skip it and call Crown Black Car (206) 722-7696. They charge a flat rate between destinations that will always be far cheaper than a taxi. Plus it's all old punk/hardcore dudes so the music they play rules. They don't go to the airport so keep that in mind. Parking here is super expensive and limited, especially downtown and on Capitol Hill. EEberlyGTB
Thanks for the info. I have no idea where I will be staying yet. I am headed to Yakima but wanted to spend a couple days in Seattle.
