chunkrock
Hello everyone. I was considering getting the RP1 Performance pack as I've had mine for two years now and I figure a belt upgrade and cartridge upgrade is probably in order. Everywhere I've seen the performance pack is around $195. Is it worth it or should I just get a belt and a cartridge separately? If I did that any cartridge recommendations? b_demarco
I'd personally just upgrade the belt. As for carts, try a few searches on audiokarma for a RP1 cartridge upgrade. It all depends on what you like most in terms of sound.
swemoll
I don't know if you did this already (I'm totally resurrecting this...) but you should totally get the Performance Pack. The cart in that pack is worth $165 by itself, and the belt is $59. Not to mention the wool mat is a hug improvement over the stock RP1 mat. And the Rega Bias2 is a fantastic cart, and pairs beautifully with the RP1. Just get it and be happy. Also, if you already have it...aren't you loving life?
