GoBlue325
Didnt see any posts about this in the forum so I thought I'd add. Recordstore.co.uk has represses of Beach House albums up for sale today. Some colored... Devotion on Blue vinyl - https://www.recordst...erm=Beach+House Teen Dream on Black vinyl - https://www.recordst...erm=Beach+House S/T on white - https://www.recordst...erm=Beach+House Source: http://bellaunion.co...lable-on-vinyl/ This is all UK based so I'm sure shipping is expensive to US buyers. bowserhound
33.99 British Pound Sterling equals 54.65 US Dollar BEFORE SHIPPING! FUCK THAT!
Guest
does the ridiculous inconsistency of vinyl pricing drive anyone else mad?
aphasias
I'd love to own these, but I already have Beach House and Devotion on vinyl and don't care to spend like $30+ each just for a colored pressing of something I already have. And why doesn't Teen Dream get the colored treatment? Not that I'd even consider $60+ dollars to get it. does the ridiculous inconsistency of vinyl pricing drive anyone else mad? Fucking YES. Especially when the higher prices are coming from major labels and larger indies who have more resources and are shipping more copies while smaller operations manage to sell their records for half the price. FuzzRecords
http://www.subpop.com/catalog/artists/beach_house Teen Dream. $18. (You have to scroll towards the bottom of the page)
aphasias
it shines brightest here, when the same band has 3 double lp's for sale ranging from 17.99 to 33.99 Beach House at least is on a single LP. I assumed that Teen Dream included the DVD in addition the 2 LPs and the CD, but taking a closer look it doesn't make mention of a CD or DVD. Even if included them, the £12 jump from Devotion to Teen Dream is pretty steep. You can still find it <20 online. I feel like I'm missing something. There's no point for anyone in North America to order the Bella Union issue of Teen Dream. It's not on colored vinyl and Sub Pop still distributes it here in the States for $18.
