Recommended Posts

Sorry to be such a newb but im trying to find a particular sound and would love some recommendations.

I've been searching for records/bands with heavy head nod drum breaks and fuzzy bass.

I saw a kid with a shirt that read "Otaku" today (in FL). Do Americans know this word?

I have 3 records to recommend you.

1. Terry Malts - Killing Time

It has a fuzzy bass. Ramones-style pop music.

still on blue!

2. Kids On A Crime Spree - We Love You So Bad

really catchy pop with fuzzy bass

still available on white

3. Sounds of Fuzz 7"

I know it's not exactly what you're looking for, but since no one has suggested anything, this one is a tune. Nod your head and keep looking.

this is great.  ive been checking out a lot of the older ninja tune and big dada stuff.  are you familiar with gaslamp killer-I spit on your grave mix tape?  he uses a lot of songs that fit what im looking for and roots manuva is one of them.  good call tom

for the most part, i don't think many americans know this word.  maybe comicon kids/japanaphiles.

i know it because I 1. am from hawaii, 2. have many japanese friends, 3. was a sushi chef for 10 years.

also, thanks for the reccomendations!
