mitleth
I know there is a thread above for How to Pack a record, BUT, I am not worried about that. I was curious as to what the best bang for the buck shipping is? I sold some vinyl on Ebay and I only charged a small amount for shipping. I'm not worried about spending a few more bucks that the $5 I charged, but I also don't want to pay $30. Anyone have any advice they would like to give? Thanks! -Mitch
Guest
media mail is your best bet. it's gonna take a couple extra days, but it shouldn't run you more than $2.50-5.00. NOW LOCK THIS THREAD BEFORE IT ERUPTS.
jeremybentham
Media mail is the cheapest for records. Contrary to what you may read/hear/be charged by sellers, you can send 20 POUNDS worth of records for about $10. A single LP with tracking paid through PayPal, costs $3.08. deadreckoning
For a single 7" sometimes 1st class is cheaper than media mail (and should reach the destination sooner). For 12"s you'll have to use media mail because there is no 1st Class shipping on packages over 13oz. Five bucks is more than enough to ship records anywhere domestically - that will give you just about 7lbs of media mail - not using a huge box.
