GoBlue325
I was scouring Craigslist for turntables and saw someone selling an sl-3 in my area for $40 in good condition. Needs a belt and needle. Still has the head cover and looks in excellent shape aesthetically. Problem is I can't one piece of info on the web about them. Are they the base model? Are they crap? Is it worth throwing $40 at and another $100 to get the rest of it fixed? Anyone know anything about these? Thanks
slinch
Well this thread has some info on it: http://www.vinylengine.com/turntable_forum/viewtopic.php?t=10760 But in my opinion not worth the trouble if you still have to fix it first. For the total of $140 you mentioned you can get a really good vintage table that actually works.
GoBlue325
That was a link finally found too! I think you are right. Been dying to upgrade now that I have more valuable pieces in my collection. Just not sure of what purchase level I need to buy into whether its entry or whatever. Thanks again.
