Project Debut III - short in cable from table to pre-amp... suggestions

So I have a short in the cable from my project table to the pre-amp. I've confirmed it's this cable and not another connection as all speakers/subwoofer work through all channels when watching TV or stereo.

 

So the question is can this be fixed? Can the cord be replaced/repaired? I'm no electrician and don't even know if it'd be worth it to take it to a shop somewhere.

 

Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated

RCA cable swaps are easy. Anyone with any solder skill can do so. Its a 10 minute fix.

This particular cable has the ground wire attached to it as well. that shouldn't effect the fix, should it?

 

(sorry if these questions are sounding kind of simple... Like I said, I'm no electrician).

Nope. You can actually peel the ground wire off from them... but the person who solders it can do that for you.

 

I keep forgeting the Debut III has attached cables. So dumb.

Yeah. I'd be so much simpler if they were just standard cables that could be replaced.

Now to try and find an electronics shop who can take care of this for me...
