seth33
I get a lot of emails asking me about the pressing info on the early Delusion/Miracle of 86 info so I figure why not make an official post with pics that I can direct people too. Delusion - Stages Released in late 1995 3 Test Pressings Myself, Kevin and Joey the Drummer got one (Kevin lost most of his early records so his is gone or destroyed not sure about Joey's) 100 Clear Blue 200 Black The cover on the right was drawn by Kris after a rehearsal in Joey's basement in about 15 minutes. The second cover (the Bob Ross) was done by John Lisa when we did the Teenage unity cover mostly because we all hated the first cover. I would say less then 30 have the Bob Ross. Delusion - Teenage Unity Released summer 1996 3 test pressings (same info as above) 500 all on Blue/white There where 25 handmade covers (all different) made by the band with some friends. About 15 of them are with those friends and the band. 5 where thrown away years ago because they where really really bad and 5 I dug out last year and gave away to people who where really cool and amazing who contacted me about Kevin. So 20 are out there but only 5 made it out of SI my guess is that only about 10 still exist and as bunch of my friends have told me they are gone. Mine is very basic but has a picture I took of Kevin and Kris at a basement show who knows when. These where the 2 insert's for the Teenage unity record. The bottom one is the original. No idea why I changed it or how many of each are out there. Miracle of 86/Render Useless Split 7" Released I think early 1998 but its a bit fuzzy 5 tests (two to render one for me and two Miracle same as above) 1000 all black This record came about after both bands played a backyard show at our friend Freedom's house. I stopped running my record label right after this release. There are about 600 in my basement/Mom's house so only about 400 have made it out into the world. Its a fun record right after Miracle decided to change there name. The booklet is also really cool. If anyone has any questions just ask. ksleap
Thanks for the info. Kevin is a great guy. I wish I had better taste in music when he was playing on bay st. I would go to shows to hang out with friends not listen to music. Now I love everything he does.
Peateargriffin
Thanks for the Info. I was lucky enough to get a blue copy of stages and the hand made teenage unity from you a year or two ago. You're a good man Charlie Brown! Guest
so what you're saying is, it's basically impossible to complete a kevin collection?
seth33
so what you're saying is, it's basically impossible to complete a kevin collection? Well sorta. You have to remember back in 95-96 we where just trying to get something out there and it was all we could afford (on stages) and its not like it sold like wildfire (back then it was all shows and very little mail order and of course no internet presence) The handmade covers we did for friends having no idea that there would be a demand for them 15+ years later. Nobody could have predicted that.
GradedOnACurve
I wish there was demand for more Miracle Of 86 albums to be pressed. In particular the Self Titled. That is one of my favorite albums ever. First local concert too. I miss Dock Street.

Well the yarn was just something we did early on. Honestly really time consuming. get a 2 hole puncher and tie a piece of pink yarn and you have that version (I am even to lazy to make one for myself) David The Gnome
seth33
UPDATE This is the original Delusion demo from 94. There first recorded stuff. Sadly I cant find the case at this time. This is the "to whom it may concern" Demo. It was released at the same time as "Teenage Unity". The cover went with the younger band member theme (Cris and his sister on the teenage unity cover and Kevin on this one. Sadly I have the case and not the tape (although I am sure its somewhere)
