tarzioo_
I'm upgrading from my shitty crosley. I've completely stopped using it after I found out how shitty it is. I want the pro-ject debut carbon but I'm moving to England at the end of next year (currently live in the US). I know our outlets are different and I don't want to use a converter. Does anyone know if the adapter is switchable? I know we operate on different volt levels and I don't want to fry anything. Or will I just need to buy a completely new turntable once I move? I would hate to spend $400 for a turntable I wont be able to use in the future. thanks! kamalatapes
allenh
The pins on the adaptor will be different but the bigger problem will be the voltage, the adaptor will say on it whether it is dual voltage, it wall say something like 110-230vac, in the UK we use 240v, Europe uses 230v and in the US you use 110v. so most European made items use power supplies that cover a range. If it's not dual voltage though you can just replace it with a UK one when you get here. The turntable itself is 18vdc which is what the adaptor gives out so needs a mains adaptor wherever it is used in the world.
Grey
We use 120V in the US, Japan uses 110V.
