thebilljim Posted April 24, 2017 Share Posted April 24, 2017 Stupid question probably, but Google has been less than helpful... My power adapter for my Debut Carbon (15vDC) just went kaput today. I also happen to have a Speed Box S (16vAC power adapter) which (because I was a dumbass and didn't double check compatibitly) doesn't work on my turntable BUT it does provide power to spin the platter. The speed adjustment doesn't work, but it does technically provide power to the motor. The question is, can I use the Speed Box as a temporary solution while I order a new power adapter, or would that risk damaging my table? I don't want to go 3 or 4 days without being able to listen to records, obviously, but I even more don't want to fry my TT doing something stupid. Smarter than me folks, please advise?
