elephanttttt
i know i need an upgrade. but i have a question. i the part holding the record (im sorry i dont know part names), if smaller then a 12" i feel like the plate (thats what ill call the thing holding the record) goes up and downish which causes pitch shifts. is this a probable issue? can i fix this? sorry if what i said make no sense, ask clairfiying questions if you wish pictures:

cadetapplesauce
i got my turntable (it's a Sony) at Circuit City on clearance for $80. the lady there said they they're always phasing out their turntables and putting them on sale and then bringing them back. it's pretty decent, but i probably need to replace the needle and the cartridge and all that other crap i have no idea about. They also said good things about some record player that was some 12,000 bucks.
rogoe
I actually have another model from the same producer, and noticed the same problem. I'll upgrade too once I get the funds. Some of the turntables posted in the other thread seem like a good starting point.
