Youth Conspiracy Records has launched a pre-order of American Art, the debut from San Diego's Weatherbox. The album, originally released in 2007 via Doghouse, will officially see its first-ever vinyl release on Aug. 28. The pressing, limited to 1,000, is a double gatefold LP and features brand new artwork, complete lyrics and a digital download for a previously unreleased alternate mix of the album. We have been working and planning on how to develop a collection management feature along with some trading features! This will begin to roll out soon and in various stages. The first part is the collection management feature which will allow you create a simple collection list (Haves, trades, wants etc...) It will be built into your profile here on VC. We are hoping to launch this sometime in August, but it depends on how fast coding goes. As it develops I will make an official thread with more details than just this simple explanation. Vinyl Release Calendar We are launching a release calendar that will allow you to view what albums are coming out on which date. You will be able to access this from the tab up top beside the "Sell/Trade Feedback" tab. I am still working on uploading releases and once completed all will be able to access the calendar. It should only be a few more hours! Here are the features for the calander: - View releases by release date - Find other releases based on date - Directly links to a place where you can pre order this release - View users birthday - If pressing info is available it will be included in a brief synopsis - Synchronize with the calendar system you use (Outlook, iCal) I personally find the last feature handy with pre orders. It is hard for me to keep track of what products I order and sometimes I don't realize it hasn't shown up until weeks later. Adding that info to my calendar allows me to better control this. EMI is continuing their Smashing Pumpkin's vinyl reissues with "Pisces Iscariot" which is due out on 180 Gram double vinyl July 17th. Their latest PR release hints at more reissues to be announced soon! In the meantime, "Pisces Iscariot" has been remastered and reissued for the first time on vinyl and is available for pre order now.
