I heard back from someone at YGR yesterday to let me know that my order had shipped, and he indicated that their small team was basically overwhelmed by the "insane response" the album has been getting.  Which is cool (not that they're are overwhelmed, but that the response has been good).

Hope my copies show up tomorrow!

Huh, hopefully they've tightened up on the new songs by the time I see them in June.

Surprisingly enough Gira didn't yell at anyone the last time I saw them, he was pretty subdued between songs.

How was the show?  They still playing crazy long sets that are over way too quickly?

I went ahead and sent a response to my original confirmation (or order) email earlier today to YGR, basically saying that I figured they had to be crazy busy thanks to the new album and all and that I just wanted to make sure my order hadn't fallen through the cracks.  A couple hours later I got my shipping confirmation.     Works for me!

My shipping notification went to spam. Did you look there?

I had not - but just did, and still haven't received anything.  

I'm super pumped to finally hear this - and would definitely like to have some decent time with it before seeing them again next month - but the Fushitsusha with Peter Brötzmann 3CD live album showed up last week, so it's not like I'm not currently consumed by something else at the moment...

Ugh. Amazon oversold their pre-orders and a rep told the next shipment is 7-10 days. I wish they would have notified me. They gave me a nice credit but I'm still frustrated. I was really looking forward to getting my hands on this today. That's what I get for not supporting Young God directly. Did this happen to anyone else?

I doubt it will make you feel much better, but I pre-ordered mine from YGR the day it went up, and I've yet to get mine, nor a shipping confirmation.  Though I do know these are starting to show up for some.

The Harvey Danger release is officially announced and up for order. Subscribers get it on whatever the rarest variant is. No brown/white haze due to licensing issues.

Thanks for the heads up on this!  Was literally sitting here listening to Moral Centralia when I came across this thread.  One of my favorite bands (and I also would need to see Merrymakers to believe it - I've been looking for a copy of it for years and have still never actually seen any copy of it).

Took me most of the week to plow through all of the shipping. Thanks for hanging in there. The last few orders from this first round of vinyl (plus any shirt, cd, or poster orders placed in past few weeks) are going out today and Monday. Since I am finally/almost caught up, I’m ready to take some more vinyl orders. So let’s do Sunday night (March 24), 7:00 in the evening, central time. As before, I will only have about 50 of each record available. Anyone who has successfully ordered one of the records is kindly asked to let others to the front of the line for that particular record. In other words, if you have already purchased an Electra, then please don’t come back and buy another. Let someone else have the opportunity. And no way to police this, but if you are purchasing just so you can resell on ebay, well, then you are a douche. Which is fine I guess.

aside from 'both hands' that album doesn't really live in her modern repertoire, honestly i don't think i'm familiar with anything else on it.

Admittedly I stopped keeping up with her after Revelling / Reckoning - not from any quality concerns, just kind of lost touch with what she was doing. There are so many good songs on that first album, 'both hands' definitely being one of them, but also 'talk to me now', 'fire door, and 'out of habit'.

EDIT: And, I'm certainly referencing a flawed and limited sample here, i.e.: the people I know who like Ani, who are mostly people I still talk to from college in 2000, most of which are like me and still listen to her old stuff but have failed to keep up with her modern output.  So it wouldn't terribly surprise me if her first album has fallen out of vogue.  Unfortunate though, as I feel it's aged well.  Oh well, I'll likely pick up anything that get's pressed up to and including Revelling..., hopefully the first makes the cut at some point.

hopefully RB will continue to press the big sellers in the future.

I would actually be surprised if her debut didn't get pressed fairly soon, I would think next to Dilate it would likely have the biggest demand.

This is the one Ani DiFranco album I actually still care about.

I have this as well, and don't particularly care for it; I bought it based on a friend's recommendation. I'll sell or trade it, but I mostly like experimental stuff, so I'm likley going to be choosy about what I'd trade for it.

And I'll certainly be more reasonable than the asshats who've listed it on Discogs.
