  1. This is just a straight repress, right? There's no difference between this and the original (in content, anyway) is there?
  2. Yeah I know, but I figured I'd put it out there as I can't justify eighty bucks for this box, let alone the $230 or whatever it is for the Mastodon one. I appreciate that labels are bothering to release this stuff, but would it kill them to just repress the stuff that's popular? I still don't quite get the economic model of putting together an overblown box set and limiting it to 1000 copies rather than just repressing the albums people are after. Anyway I'm sure this argument has been made a thousand times before, so please ignore and move on (unless you really do want to split the box set with me. )
  3. Maybe we can meet somewhere in the middle. I really have no need or desire for the extras; anyone after them?
  4. That brings up an interesting thought: I am only after "Let Go" and "Lucky." Any chance someone else is after the others and wants to split the set? Long shot I know, but I figured I'd put it out there.
  5. Oh right, that too. Always tough to find quality scans of that stuff online, even from the labels. Including good (800x800 pixel .pngs or .jpegs) images with the MP3s would be greatly appreciated as well.
  6. Wow, awesome thread topic. My two cents: I love the free downloads with LPs, but am usually disappointed in the bitrate quality of said downloads. Call me a crazy person who obsesses over bitrates when his beat to shit ears probably can't tell the difference between 32kbps and 320, but I like to have stuff at 256 or above, preferably in a VBR format. That said, I ALWAYS use the download codes, even if I end up getting a higher quality rip from somewhere else, simply to send the message that I appreciate what labels are doing and that I would like them to continue to do so. Apparently that message is getting through to the tune of 12% in No Idea's case. The idea of charging an extra buck for the download is fine by me; it more than covers the time it would have taken me to rip the CD had I bought it, so it's more than fair in my mind. I also like what Magic Bullet does in their webstore, offering to throw in a copy of the CD for a couple bucks more. I think it's usually $4.25, which is more than fair in my mind considering these are retail discs with the full artwork, (just sans jewel case,) not some beat-ass promo version. And needless to say, I loved the Fat Wreck model of including the CD with the LP, but I understand how those costs can really add up. So long story short, while I think there is room for improvement, I love download codes and would urge all labels to continue their efforts in this area or start if they haven't already.
  7. Good god, this is not going to happen for me. Yeah, it's 180 g vinyl and there's 9 records, but that's still $26 bucks a pop. I know it's been said a thousand times before, but I just wanna listen to it, not use it as an investment. Can I just get a version of single LPs with a Xeroxed cover for under $150 please.
  8. A (possibly pointless) bump to see if anyone's heard anything new on this?
  9. Sorry, didn't mean to imply that I had gotten mine; that pic was grabbed from the Southern Lord blog.
  10. Is that the same version? I know the Southern Lord site only lists the "Bible" version and neither SL nor Insound offer much in the way of images for the record so it's hard to tell. I just assumed the Insound version was your standard double LP affair, rather than the embossed craziness of the Bible version, but then it could just be that I dropped an extra $15 for the esteemed privilege of ordering directly from Southern Lord. :-/ Ah well, at least it looks nice.
  11. A bit late on this, but I went down and picked one of these up this morning. They have a couple left at $8.99 if anyone else is interested.
  12. Start here. It's been a while since I had to use it, but eBay requires that you try and resolve things with the seller first. There may even be a specified time you need to wait. So look into that, and start trying to reason with the guy. Keep your emails civil and save EVERYTHING he sends you; you'll want it all when it comes time to actually initiate the complaint process. Since he admits right up front that he just decided not to sell it to you, he's broken his seller contract. Most jerks will just say it was lost in the mail or damaged before they could ship it in order to still come out OK, but this guy is clearly not that smart. So long as you keep all of your emails very cool and collected, (probably want to avoid calling him a shit wizard,) you may be able to convince him it's in his best interest to send you the record rather than risk punishment by eBay. That said, eBay is notoriously lax on asshole sellers, so unless things have changed, the best you might get our of this is a chance to warn others via some negative feedback.
  13. I believe it was $8, but their site says $10, so I could be imagining things. I'll double check later today and let you know.
  14. Seems like interest in the 7" has dried up, but I was just down there and they have a bunch. Offer still stands.
  15. I work above the Newbury St. location. If anyone's interested and they still have some, I'd be more than willing to grab and ship for you.
  16. Holy crap, please, please, PLEASE put out "Ghost Poison" on vinyl. That albums absolutely kills.
  17. Second on the Foxy Shazam (did they officially ditch the exclamation point?) and fourth or so on The Snake, The Cross, The Crown. Can't believe Cotton Teeth doesn't already have a vinyl release.
