  1. Dove "Cool Essentials" w/ cucumber and green tea, although I used Old Spice's Red Zone Glacial Falls a couple times when I was in a pinch.
  2. I should remember as long as I get my backorder notice email. And I have heard nothing of a three pack - where'd you hear that? And what's considered the 'next one'...? They've got a few things coming out around the same time.... From http://www.vagrant.com/artist/index/6 : "Saves The Day Under The Boards is the second installment of a three-album trilogy, continuing a story about self-discovery that began with last year’s Sound The Alarm and will conclude with a third album, Daybreak, to be released next year. Conley previously commented: “Sound The Alarm is an expression of discontent. Under The Boards is reflection and remorse. Daybreak is acceptance.” The band – original members Conley and David Soloway (guitar) along with Manuel Carrero (bass) and Durijah Lang (drums) – co-produced the 13 songs on Under The Boards with Marc Hudson and Eric Stenman at their Electric Ladybug studio in northern California."
  3. Yeah Virgil, do you think the deluxe set will sell out today, if so can you maybe hold one? I really want one but I would also like to wait... unless its easy for you to just combine orders and shipping? Thanks.
  4. I didn't get a fail notice or anything but it redirected me back to the brokencircles website. Also, I think all of the packages have the silk screen as a special with it right?
  5. Don't forget to let us know. Also did you hear anything about the triple pack of Sound The Alarm, Under The Boards and the next one?
  6. Or smelling good... unless you're into the stench of creepy older men... then again judging by this group...
  7. Hahaha what hotel did you stay at? I went to the Horsebites show too! Ahh I mean I fly into GNV on Tuesday. Dammit not sure how I'd get over to Tampa. I could change shit if I knew for sure I'd for sure have a ride to G-ville though?
  8. Lydia I just emailed you back, I forgot to post the html code for the package deal...so what you ordered is a cheaper than you expected! Aw rad! Thanks! pre-orders through me are in a test press giveaway too...not just through the VC store...so...yeah...there's a good chance you could win it! Haha I'm such a nerd. I wanted the test press, and I didn't know that you were offering it also so I ordered another copy through VC. Whatever. I'll have extra now and I guess I've doubled my chances.
  9. Ahh I already bought a few of these through Underground Communique! I did also grab one just now however, so that I can TRY to get that test press! So excited for this.
  10. hahaha already ordered. woo! but is VC doing a special deal with these that I should get in on also?
  11. already there dude! I hope its only another hour before I can order this.
  12. Do you come down to Chain often? I thought that was a solid 4 hour drive.
  13. More like bro rape thread.Anyway I say you're most likely a step up from the majority of dudes that try to hit on her so just try to be normal. Reference the fact that you always chat when you go in, ask when she's off and if there's anything to do. This makes it look like you aren't just down to fuck which will most likely turn her off (unless she is too). The flower thing is smooth I suppose, but it could also make you look like a cocky douchebag (which some bitches dig but since you aren't sure its iffy) and if you are into her you may not wanna put out that vibe. Hell, just ask her if she wants to go listen to records and if she's all about it, she's rad and you're all set. Good luck on whatever method you use.
  14. I may be a traitor to my city and to my high school (went to school with a Laker), but I was hoping for a 50 point slaughter at a certain point. SO STOKED Boston won.
  15. So of course I've been sitting at home all the time lurking all the cool shit here and of course when I leave the house for a goddamn doctors appointment, this shit goes on sale (and sells out). I even tried to order from my blackberry but by the time I "checked out" it wasn't happening. Someone sell me your 4pack. Or if Virgil could miraculously make an extra appear, that would be pretty rad. Yes, I know that the above isn't gonna happen but I just spilled a bottle of mylanta on my favorite jeans over trying to hop(literally) over to the computer so I'm slightly annoyed.
  16. If its repress it would be by Warner Brothers and if its OG it should indicate Up Records on the album...Right?
  17. HAHAHA I'm pretty sure the act itself is a giant sacrifice. But yeah he's bad ass. You have no idea, I used to work in my moms office, and I'd see old fools coming in asking for Cialis and Viagra.. UGGHHDHGGAGH the thought makes me shudder.
  18. Who else is jazzed on seeing Sulu (aka George Takei) tie the knot? As far as same sex goes, it doesn't really affect or bother me. I figure everybody should have the right to grow old (or older) and become miserable together, right? Some long term same sex couples I know have healthier relationships than the heterosexual ones. Thoughts?
  19. I think that's a really awesome date idea, really thoughtful, and cute. Anyway as far as wines go, if you're near a Trader Joe's, go pick up some two buck chuck. Can't beat it. If you don't like the bitterness of red wines, I would recommend merlot and if you really dont like reds then maybe a rose/blush, zinfandel, or really just other white wines. Just go ask whichever employee they claim to be the wine aficionado. If you really wanna have a cheap night and kinda make a joke about how broke you are, you can always boxed wine it. I mean of course it kinda tastes like juice or something but when you're young, I think its acceptable sometimes, as long as she will get a kick out of it. Maybe this will help? Edit: I went to get some tea before I posted and 7 people respond before me and said some similar suggestions, but it just shows you how great we are as life coaches (umm in this case I guess).
  20. I definitely back Pinkerton, Refused, and Lucero. Some other possible listening options but not all of them are specifically about breaking up, but I think they'd fit: -Dashboard Confessional (I mean.... c'mon that guy's pretty bummertown2Klife when he's wailing on that one song... somewhere... just in case you wanna cry it out) -Get Up Kids (and New Amsterdams) -Glassjaw (hateful mood) -Recover (a little less hateful mood) -Slowreader (all these songs are amazing) -Elliott Smith (anything really) -Cursive (I guess the Good Life too, Tim Kasher is usually pretty distraught) -Joy Division -Animal Collective -Built To Spill i don't know... i wrote this at 4am(from what I can remember) then fell asleep and didn't post it.
  21. After reading though this post in its entirety, I saw that nobody mentioned how amazing 5 Star pizza tastes when you are 25 sheets to the wind. I can honestly say that before last years Fest I wasn't a beer convert but when I saw that I could get 2 PBRs for $1.50 (during happy hour at the Atlantic) I almost shit myself. The cheapest beer at a bar/show I've ever seen here is $5 (no two-fers or anything). Everybody on this board who decides to go could probably fill up a floor (or a good amount of one) at the Holiday Inn (if they're still using it, last year was ridic). It could be the Vinyl Collective gathering of the year or something.
