I think that's a really awesome date idea, really thoughtful, and cute. Anyway as far as wines go, if you're near a Trader Joe's, go pick up some two buck chuck. Can't beat it. If you don't like the bitterness of red wines, I would recommend merlot and if you really dont like reds then maybe a rose/blush, zinfandel, or really just other white wines. Just go ask whichever employee they claim to be the wine aficionado. If you really wanna have a cheap night and kinda make a joke about how broke you are, you can always boxed wine it. I mean of course it kinda tastes like juice or something but when you're young, I think its acceptable sometimes, as long as she will get a kick out of it. Maybe this will help? After reading though this post in its entirety, I saw that nobody mentioned how amazing 5 Star pizza tastes when you are 25 sheets to the wind. I can honestly say that before last years Fest I wasn't a beer convert but when I saw that I could get 2 PBRs for $1.50 (during happy hour at the Atlantic) I almost shit myself. The cheapest beer at a bar/show I've ever seen here is $5 (no two-fers or anything). Everybody on this board who decides to go could probably fill up a floor (or a good amount of one) at the Holiday Inn (if they're still using it, last year was ridic). It could be the Vinyl Collective gathering of the year or something.
