still bummed about this album. Need to listen in high quality, but the songs are just sort of mediocre after the first half. Jason Butler part is so awful too. Ah well, knew I had to lose this band eventually

I also have free throw. Ya know ya gotta wonder who has these early demos. Its highly unlikely they are in the hands of diehard fans as they were likely sold at shows with low attendance/the band played first. I always imagine several average Joes getting dragged to a show by their weird cousin and bought such a cassette because "whoa do people even still listen to those."

I have tried so hard, trust me.

Is it that the band doesn't want to? Or maybe that the original tracks are lost?

What's funny is the first press of the Albatross was 150 black and 350 bone white. I wonder if they kinda mimicked it on purpose.

Ehh pretty sure Teti and at least one other member are straight edge. Also it seems David does a good vocal warm up each show and I can't imagine Steve being sloppy lol

Dang there was no violin dude on Sunday. I was shocked at the low number of people on stage (only 7!).

Weird, nick played with them Monday and at wrecking ball. They mentioned needing to go to guitar center though.

I feel like the past couple years they've toured with eight, around WEIE with Julia on cello as the eighth, then for the long stretch before and around Between Bodies with Chris Z as the eighth. After Harmlessness drops Tyler Bussey will be joining them so that will bump it up to nine.

also the 7" songs will make to the album? those are the best 2 songs of the last few months.

They won't be, though they were recorded in the same three week session. Those two tracks along with two or three more are part of an EP spread amongst two 7"s, hence the title "Death to New Years Long Live Happy Birthday" on the opposite side of the lyrics sheet. They also recorded a new version of Formlessness in that time.

I wonder if the title is a hint in which direction the album will go. I liked their debut, but it wasn't nearly as good as Formlessness.

that may be the case as tyler who was on formlessness is on this record.  also the word harmlessness is lifted from a line chris z says on between bodies

sore i missed that splatter

just wanna say that my peripheral vision and pale horses tapes are two of the best sounding i own. the professional dubbing definitely retains the dynamic range, and the artwork and printing on the cassette casings (especially pale horses) is top notch.  i dont see the price being too much for full length records and can think of more than a few places charging 9 or 10 for their cassettes.
