This album, like most vinyl that came out back in the early to mid 2000's - is pretty thin and the jacket is kinda weak too. They need to repress it with some upgrades.
Eh my three way gatefold and lps both feel pretty sturdy. Sure you dont have the boot?

Dropped over 100 this time last year no questions asked. Well worth it, that ebay link is one id have killed for then haha

ooooph between the ostraca and fleshborn pressings, that split, and the knola lp this is looking very tasty
-
My first TCR press sounds incredible. Of course that's relative to the CYLS presses
lol you act like it sounds of a low quality mp3

was waiting for a new phone with a better camera to start up an instagram like this, then sort of forgot... this may just be the push i need!

That Tommy Boys LP took me a minute to warm up on because it was a little too "polished" but that last song on that album is a fucking doozy!
I'm glad this thread is staying active!
Had no idea they called it quits... was there a break up message posted?

i thought this band was known around here, they have a bit more structured sound with twinkles

Fye sells vinyl? Is that all of them?
Most stores do. Mine is one of the smaller ones and we have about 200 titles in stock that sell well generally. We got ours only about 6 months ago and we were "late to the game." There are even several fye exclusive variants.
Picked up the non deluxe black just now. Is it 180g? The records feel sturdy. Was hoping for the black and white but ah well, maybe my local record store got some in.

The fye i work at got a copy in. Hoping its the black and white mix indie exclusive. Is the regular retail variant just black?

http://genius.com/Mewithoutyou-dorothy-annotated
The lyrics on that site aren't the same as on the records. Is there another version of Dorothy?
the annotation for that part reads:
"For the record, this line isn’t actually in the song as it’s sung on the album. On the album, Aaron says that he was “somewhere near Virginia rebuking Satan with ironic faithfulness.” The expanded version suggests that Aaron drew inspiration for the line from an old Gospel song about rebuking Satan and put this information in the lyric book as a nod to that."
which means some of the books were printed with correct lyrics. also holy shit the meanings behind some of the songs are crazy. magic lantern days was very interesting in particular.

Wish i had a rec release version :'/

Bump for this dude, I got some tapes I bought from him just a couple days ago TODAY. Super reasonable prices, and he ships faster than a cheetah on the hunt.

Mine had Dorothy lyrics... Am I really the only person who got the Dorothy page?
You sure? It has the title dorothy but the actual lyrics are from Mexican War
Streets

MM cassette showed up today. It's of the grey variety.
mine too but i got the blue

The songs are included in the download. It's 19 tracks. Build up that FLAC library, brother.
weird thats what i assumed too, but the mail order dude said they werent included in that and sent me a dropbox of the 9 songs. stoked to have them now either way!
ive listened to the cassette version of this for so long, some of the nuances that dont come through in that are really great. lots more spacey vocal effects on some songs than i imagined.
Edit: 500th post

FML!!!! was planning to get the black variant after picking up the tape from near mint. hoping there are still some around somewhere

This really is an unfortunate turn of events, what with this album being so so good and the regular version coming out so nicely. As much as i like the deluxe packaging the jacket just feels a bit cheap, its looking like everyones lyric booklet is ripped or glued in (ive also seen some say their book didnt include mexican war streets), and this c/d mix up is really a punch to the gut. For me at least, those extra songs were the main reason i went with the deluxe, they aren't included in the download and not having a cd player are essentially still unobtainable. That being said Michael who is handling their mail order responded quickly, and even gave me an address if I wanted to send back the extra a/b disc.

Just out of curiosity, did your second a/b press have c/d labels or were they both labeled a/b?
both labeled a/b. if you look at drews picture closely you can tell the c/d label is different and the grooves are as well

Well release date debate or not, do any of you who got it when it came out remember any sort of pressing info?
