In case anyone is wondering - 5 test presses were made - one for each band member and one for the contest. we were originally going to send with the regular order, but Wig and I weren't able to go over and help with the packing and the signing in SF (we live in Oakland). Also stoked that some of you got the show edition - man, I was blown away how good they turned out. to answer a few questions - yes, mailorder edition is silkscreened via monolith press in alameda. hand numbered and folded and packaged by Dennis from Glaciers. re the title: i changed it at the last minute - I wasn't 100% happy with the original title of Beyond, but no one could think of anything else. I wanted something better to match the sound and feel of the album and it just came to me at the last minute and everyone was cool with it. The album is loosely centered on life, death and living in California...and the cycle of life i guess. So MTTA fit better. And seriously - stoked everyone is enjoying this. One additional cool note about this test press - we changed the name of the album at the last minute to MTTA. Originally, it was going to be titled "Beyond", which is indicated on the test pressing sticker.

thanks germs fan. we had a blast and thanks to everyone who came out. winfred e eye is a favorite of mine and it was great to play with BOS finally. did you get one of the limited LPs? man they turned out incredible. our drummer did them from 1am until 8am on thursday night/friday morning - then went to work and then played the show. I dont know how he held it together so well. wll post pictures of the mailorder version when i have them.

two things: regarding the variant language - you are probably correct Abovetheearth. I say a lot of things, and sometimes i sound smart, but most of the time not so much. I've never heard of someone using taskrabbit for this, but holy jesus that is awesome idea.

Sorry - I like to make things confusing. this is because I drink too much coffee, beer and have a baby at home and a full time job. On Friday - at the show - we will have the regular version for sale. The smoke/clear looking vinyl version. We got them on Monday and they look awesome and they sound incredible. We will also be offering 25 copies of the album with a special silk screened cover. I picked up the covers on Monday and they are incredible on their own. Its a black matte finish with white ink, front and back printing. We are hand glueing them together today and then die cutting our logo out of the front so the insert shows through. Speaking of which, the insert for this is a full color booklet of photographs that is being hand sewn together. The color of the vinyl is red. Just like the mailorder version, but with a different color. Make sense? The mailorder version that sold out quickly will be printing soon - and then we plan on shipping out all preorders to arrive by the July 30th release date. We had the opportunity to do this show on Friday and wanted anyone that comes out to be able to purchase both the regular version of the album, as well as a special limited version in case anyone missed out on the mailorder one. We will also have cassettes at the show.
