  2. Attention all losers - amoeba in hollywood had a grip on these on color.
  3. If you live in the San Francisco metropolitan area and your start up will let you leave work early - GLACIERS is opening up for EARTH at Bottom of The Hill. We play at 9pm. We will be performing as a three piece at this show.
  4. that survival knife song where the girl sings is my favorite. the breakdown in the middle is insane. unwound rip
  5. we're doing a quick sale in our web store. glaciers.bigcartel.com if anyone wants to save a few dollars, have at it. good way to pick up both LPs at a deal. hope everyone is having a good spring and 2014.
  6. maybe the greatest or second greatest album of all time, next to soulside 'hot bodi-gram'. price is kind of steep.
  7. i really like the record. i read the pitchfork review, dismissed it - then got the album in the mail and they were kind of right in a way. i dont think they tread much new ground, but its not like the writer of the review invented a new alphabet or anything either. its a great album for them - i love the synths they are using. the fourth song is a classic mogwai guitar song - so good. and the led zeppelin thing made me laugh. such a great addition to their catalog. i feel like i would rank it up there with hawk is howling or maybe happy songs in terms of sound? it seems quieter and def not as poppy as hardcore. should have got the box set. oh well!
  8. I love the different styles of Earth. I love how you can't really say they have one particular style of music, and how even there are differences in the newer stuff. I wish more bands were like this, rather than going the easy route. I always thought of their two different "sounds" with having to do more with dylan being a drug addict and then being a sober guy. The early material is pretty unrefined, but has moments of genius to it. I mean, EArth 2 is such an insane record to me, even thought there's tons of records out there like that. The first time I heard it was like "wtf is this?", which is a good thing. The only thing I didn't really like was the LP on troubleman unlimited. Gleaming the Cube or whatever it was called. I would say my favorite is defintiely Hex. It's a beautiful brilliant album with zero lows to it, and I also think it was such an abrupt change in their sound that it really confused some of their earlier fans. It also seemed like such a transition for the guy on a personal level, but I dont know him or anything. It was just nice to see him getting his act together and creating music again.
  9. im pretty sure uncle speedo confirmed they would be up online after the uk turr. one of my all time favorites, so stoked to hear new jams from them. the venom cover tickled my taint. heres to hoping they keep it up. i highly recommend everyone educate themselves on this band if you have no idea about them. you can youtube the recent 2013 shows for the best banter ever.
  10. Sorry - no facetime bro. But you get a pass since you are from Ohio (I am from West Viriginia originally). Anyone get their "vinyl" yet? Let's see some pictures! I play guitar in the band and do not own a copy of this. Want to see this guy on the internet!
  11. Certain members of Glaciers are known to frequent Heart and Dagger in Oakland, or other Oakland beer bars. Linden Street Brewery is very nice. City Beer in San Francisco is acceptable, minus the techies and google bus drop offs. Alternately - we could all meet at Del taco.
  12. tecate plus lime juice plus some tapatio and worchester sauce equals a good time. NO JOKE.
  13. Here's the beans: 21st Amendment beers are the most popular beverage of choice in most of our houses. Usually the Bitter American or the IPA. I had something called HE SAID the other night which was good but gave me a headache. Pliny the Elder when its available. Blind Pig is good too. Russian River is a great beer maker, but horrible sports bar. Lately I've been enjoying the Drakes IPA. Their Red ale is solid as well. Tecate in a can for practices. Sometimes one of us brings some white wine to practice. Not me. Thank you to everyone who ordered the record by the way. Your support means a ton to us.
  14. @abovetheearth - It's friday, so I'd recommend some Seinfeld, and maybe a couple of beers and the Morrissey book.
  15. Yes - three hours earlier. I live in california. Oakland. The new brooklyn. Home to artisian sausages, homemade pickles and whisky bars. Zzzz We will announce here and the facebook before it goes live. I like!
  16. We have a handful of leftovers of the silk screened tour pressing we will be making available to mailorder customers. These are limited to 35 copies. Not sure exactly how many we have leftover. These will be available in the online store on Monday. Limit one person. No exceptions. Please no PMs asking us to hold back one for you. We want to be fair and give everyone a chance. We will also be offering the newest pressing on White Vinyl, on Monday as well. These are limited to 170 pcs. Thanks to everyone who came out over the weekend. We had a blast and enjoyed meeting so many people and playing with some awesome bands. Good talk Russ, DudefromGlaciers
  17. just an update for the weekend shows - we will have the new limited version of MTTA. tonight is the hemlock in SF. we play at 930. tomorrows show got moved to vinyl solution in huntington beach. 9pm. sunday is the satellite in los angeles. show is free! party.
  18. STAND YOUR GROUND. Photos do not matter to ebay, as they are aware that the buyer can damage the package themselves. GO INTO MEDIATION WITH EBAY. Last month, I sold a $50 Stephen Malkmus record to some retard. He wrote back and fucking complained that the paper inner sleeve was damaged, and the FUCKING PLASTIC SLEEVE was damaged. After several emails, we basically went into mediation via ebay, and I told him - send back the UNPLAYED record and I will refund you, and he ended up losing essentially. People are getting way too picky. When I buy a banana from whole foods, and it gets brown after two days,I don't go back to whole foods and throw it at someone, I fucking eat it.
  19. i have multiple versions of march to the sea if anyone is interested in that, as well as differnt versions of australasia
