  1. Mad congrats on finishing month 1!!! Let me know how recovery week compares.

Recovery week workout was a nice change of pace. It's just like the recovery day workout focusing on control and technique more than cardio, but you still sweat a lot. There is a little bit of cardio mixed in and your legs and arms will be tired by the time you are done. A lot of the same movements and a few new ones.

It will be nice to "recover" for a week before the brutal month 2 begins.

  2. Wow, made it through week 2. This is the farthest I've ever taken Insanity. I weighed myself post workout for shits abd giggles and was 216.9, a number I haven't seen since the first year of university.

Way to go Blanchard!!!!  Officially finished week 3!! This shit is tough, but I'm glad I have you guys for inspiration/motivation. Keep it up!!

  3. I kind of collect posters, I have these in my cubical at work http://instagram.com/p/cO2ycDxiVT/#

I also have a framed Thrice Farewell tour poster and a signed Thursday poster. https://sphotos-b-lga.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash2/530181_10151019914116173_1326951329_n.jpg

Nice! I have tons of band posters from shows we go to. I've got that underoath and thrice farewell among a ridiculous amount of others. You can see some of them in the background here. http://instagram.com/p/Y1A0wckA7i/

I also have an addiction to anything by Esao Andrews http://instagram.com/p/RYe4A2EA0k/  and http://instagram.com/p/SRUie8EA4A/

omgposters.com is a great place to look for new prints/releases.

  4. Definitely good advice and I will rest my body if I feel like it is getting to be too much. I am still enjoying it, as much as you can for a workout. I can actually do some pretty good push ups now!

I like that everyone seems to have a positive attitude towards insanity and looks forward to the workouts each day. Hope it stays that way!

  5. Just finished my 2nd fit test. Pretty pleased with the results, but I could have done a little better on some parts.

  6. There we go, week one done. That workout was savage.

Just wait until the end of week 2! They make you do pure cardio and then cardio abs immediately after.  My quads were so heavy after the pure cardio that I felt like the cardio abs was a joke. I almost wished it was simple sit ups rather than this weird V-sit up position.

Today marks the start of week 3 for me. Can't wait to see how I have progressed on the fit test.

    Let's do this!!

  7. Hey I am a newbie to VC, but Thrice55 told me about this thread and I knew I just had to chime in. ;)  I am on my 2nd week of Insanity and it is definitely a love/hate relationship. The hardest workout I have done in a long time, but I have been out of the fitness routine for years now. It has really been a big push to get back into shape and I feel this workout is exactly what I needed to get going. I bought some fitness dvds and tried running outside around my neighborhood while doing push-ups, sit ups, etc., but I couldn't stay motivated and I felt like I was half assing it anyways. Plus it is way too hot outside during the times I have available for workouts so Thrice55 got me the insanity to try out.

For me insanity seems to work. I am only on week 2, but I feel better (regardless of the soreness) and I think I look a little better too. I don't own a scale so I am not sure how much weight I am actually loosing.

Today is my recovery day and I am looking forward to it, even though it still works your already exhausted quads. I feel like the 2nd week is harder than the first and I am sure it will continue to be that way. As you get better and stronger you are able to do more. I struggle the most with the push ups and there is so much plyometrics that sometimes I want to cry! I find myself yelling at the tv and yelling at myself to keep going. That helps too!!  :D  Best of luck to all you guys and I'll keep checking in.
