Just got to glance at my copy. Haven't gotten to listen to it yet, but it does look nice. Disappointed that more of the pictures weren't used though.
Let us know what you think of the sound when you have a chance. I'm anxious to hear what others think

YES! It's great to have a date to look forward to. I assume it'll be priced similar to DM when it comes out in the US.

And...how does it sound??
YES! REVIEW PLEASE! WITH CHERRIES ON TOP!!!!! I wont get the pleasure until Thursday as I will be waiting out on the porch for UPS to arrive....
I actually came to the site just now because I thought "Hmm... I bet people are curious as to how it sounds"
I'm very pleased with the pressing/remaster. The pressing itself is VERY quiet across both LPs and the bonus disks. I honestly wasn't expecting much from the remaster as I've always thought the album sounded great in the first place, but it really sounds nice. Things like the intro to Wearing The Inside Out seem to have a lot more depth to them than I remember. Another point of interest is when the layers really start to form in the intro of Keep Talking. That song has always sounded much better to me on the the vinyl version of Pulse, but the studio version has the same depth now on this version. I listened to it all the way through around 3 times last night and never noticed any flaws or anything to complain about.
As for the bonus vinyl, I remembered that the 7" would have Astronomy Domine on the B-Side, but I'd totally forgotten about the live version of One Of These Days on the High Hopes 12" single. I used to have that CD single years back and I liked that version of the song better than the one that's on Pulse so it was a cool bonus of sorts. The etching/art thingy on the flip side of the High Hopes 12" is really cool looking too.
I think I covered everything, but if anyone has more questions or wants better pics of anything in the box, just let me know!

Nice, I assume this is the deluxe expensive edition?
Yeah, it's the super deluxe with the 7", 10" and so on. My local place only charged me $117, tax included so I'm pretty happy with that.
-
Sorry for the AWFUL pic I took, but:

Non stock photos of the jacket from an ebay seller
Heeeeeellllllllllllllllllllllllllll yes. VERY glad to see these are already out there! I'm gonna call one of my local stores later today on the off chance that they got their boxed sets early!

White Blood Cells.
Good recommendation, that's where I started.
Can we be real for a second and admit that this record is kind of poop?
I can't put my finger on it but there is something incredibly....uninspired i suppose. Maybe the gimmicks were to ultimately distract from the fact that he made a thoroughly "average" record.
I love the record overall. The only tunes I find average are Entitlement along with Want And Able.

Same here with ATD. I've got an original, but I'm really, REALLY looking forward to the reissue.
I'm really hoping the September date sticks this time.

just get "a nice pair", its cheaper than buying them both separately and just as good.
I've since picked up Atom Heart Mother but still haven't grabbed the first two. I keep thinking of doing what you're suggesting and just picking up A Nice Pair since it's cheaper as you said. It's also a lot easier to come by from what I've seen as well.

Retail black vinyl. This seems to be a real mixed bag. United QC for the loss, but they did ship 40,000 for release day, so I can't be too hard on them, but still unacceptable.
That's a bummer :/ Hopefully you can get it exchanged out pretty quickly and end up with a quiet one.

Finally got the call that the 2LP version of II is back in stock so I can exchange my first LP. Other than the slight distortions on that one side of that one LP, I've been super happy with everything to do with these thus far!
-
This album sounds great but my side B is very noisy. Not sure if it's the matte finish, as side B seems to be the problem side with most people that are experiencing problems. who knows?
Seriously though the SQ of the music on this is great.
Just curious, are you referring to the Vault version of the retail version? Both sides of my Vault version are VERY noisy but the retail copy I picked up is super quiet.
-
Mine had a DL code...
As did mine. I just got back from grabbing a black copy along with the Lazaretto 7". Had to buy the latter just for the Elvis cover.
-
is anybody else's vault version of lazaretto a bit noisy?
Yep. I've seen a lot of people say that in the Vault Chat as well. A friend ordered the black version and we compared them last Friday, his was completely silent compared to mine.
-
Side 1 on my copy of the first LP for II is distorted so I'm hoping to exchange that today. Side 2, the entire second LP and all 3 LPs of I sound fantastic though.
Hoping the 2LP version of III lands in stores this week.

Got a scratch and dent copy of Psycho Circus on Amazon for $19 shipped. Slight corner bend, works for me! The hologram cover is quite badass. This album totally crushes and sounds awesome.
Wow. I never gave that album enough attention, but I'd pick it up and try again for that price! I finally found COS this week and I'm really happy with the sound of it.
-
First listen now.
As a side note, I cannot see the hologram at all on my Vault copy. Anyone having success?
-
Mine was waiting for me when I got hom. No compaints with anything at first glance. I'll be able to spin the album itself later tonight and very much looking forward to it.
-
My local store swore that they had the 3LP I and 2LP III, but they didn't when I arrived. Still hoping to find them around town tomorrow. I got the 2LP II on release day, so I'm excited to spin that later tonight.
-
According to Bullmoose, it came out last week.
Several outlets are still saying it came out last week, but it's nowhere to be found as of yet.
-
My buddy just his shipping notice as well. His first name starts with a P, last night with an M. My initials are RR so I'm hoping I hear something soon either way!
-
I think COS comes out at the end of june (I may be wrong) I got psycho circus and it sounds really great. I just need to get cos and that live melenium years and sonic boom(one day) and I'll have a complete discography.
Oh ok. I thought that COS was supposed to come out the same day as Hot In The Shade, but I must have been mistaken.
-
Has any been able to find Carnival Of Souls in stores this week? The three stores in my area all ordered it along with Hot In The Shade, but none of them have received Souls yet.
-
just gave the first run through since it (III) came this afternoon.
I really had to pull the highs down on the e.q., but other than that it sounds pretty good upon a first listen.
Nothing mind blowing... maybe a little more detail in how the first songs are threaded together. I might have a different opinion upon another play-through tomorrow when I can more objectively (and not excitedly) listen..
I'm actually relieved to hear there's not a huge difference. I've been worried that Page was going to "over-tinker" with them.

I had the auto charge, but I'm just crossing my fingers that I will want the new Vault package.
