They've been closed a few days over the last couple weeks due to weather. It wouldn't surprise me if they're trying to catch up right now
Yeah, I saw their updates about that. I'm not worried or anything, just hoping they go out soon.

This and déjà entendu... forced to participate in the disaster that is rsd again. Hope I can actually get these copies in store without paying flipper prices. But damn this release sounds like it'll be amazing, especially with the lenticular cover.
I dig the lenticular covers as well. I didn't even think about it, but I would imagine that'll add something cool to the exclusive version.

Billboard is reporting that Third Man Records is reissuing Elvis Presley's first recording.

Just read that as well. I may need to add that to my list.

I ended up ordering the Elephant 7" bundle. It's been "processing" for over a week despite being in stock. I've never had Third Man take so long on something, but I do hope it ships soon.

I'm in the opposite situation. I've the to Expedit system going...but I keep thinking about switching back to bins. I miss being able to just flip through to decide what I want to listen to rather than plopping down in front of that damn thing and squinting to see all the titles. Never change!
Yeah, whenever I think about going to a spine set up, I always end up talking myself out of it.

I don't necessarily think the cover's over-saturated but I don't have my CD copy with me to compare...
Anyway, the sound, as far as I can tell on my awful little dorm room player, is really good. Good definition but I'm not too sure on the bass. I 100% recommend as a cheap bootleg copy.
Cool. Mine says it will be here on Monday, but I'm hoping it'll arrive sooner than that. I just recently added a sub-woofer to my system a couple weeks ago, so I should be able to speak on the bass levels pretty well haha.
I've got the 7" for Miss World and Doll Parts as well, so I'll have the sound of those to compare it against.

Femmes and Phish make my "kinda want" list. Those will be spur of the moment choices I guess.

Delivered today! The packaging is spot on. Will report on the sound in a few hours
Good to hear about packaging! The only pics I've seen made the cover photo look way over saturated.
The sound is more important anyway lol, but it's still good to know it looks right.

I'm currently in a "bin" set up which I love for digging through records, but it takes up SO much space. I keep almost moving to an Expedit/spine set up instead but I just can't bring myself to do it.

I'll have to check my copy, but pretty sure it was switched around on the original. Imagine it's so that tracks fit on two LPs.
That was my guess as well. I'm not even sure where I read that or how reliable the source was anyway.
I also wonder about what was mentioned; if this is going to be a 45rpm pressing.
-
I hadn't heard anything about reissues, but they'd be welcome for sure. The only one I own is an OP of Rides Again that I lucked into for cheap in GREAT condition.
-
I read somewhere that the track listing is going to be switched around. If true, I wonder why.

First single will debut on Monday 3/9... I'd say watch for a leak this weekend
Thanks for the heads up. I'm definitely interesting in hearing the single.

The only Brand New albums I've ever heard are parts of The Devil & God and Daisy. I liked parts of both of them but I've never heard anything off Deja. May pick it up out of sheer curiosity.

Christ Almighty. Brittany Howard is a bad bad lady.
Didn't care much for the first one but really liked the second. I'd buy the LP based on the second one alone.

You beat me to the punch. If it means anything I bought a boot and it sounds fantastic.
The only bootleg I currently own is Roger Waters - Amused To Death and it sounds fantastic. Live Through This will be the second one I take a chance on and at $30, I'm not overly concerned with the risk.
-
I like the teaser I heard and I'm sure I won't have to pay $30ish for it.

Wonder why this isn't on the Third Man site yet.

Ended up just pulling the trigger on this. Found a seller on Discogs that had it in the US along with a Floyd bootleg I've been looking for, so I grabbed them both.
If it sounds decent/good, it'll at least hold me over til I get an OG. If it sounds great, I'll just end the search.

Still waiting on it. I emailed them a few days ago and they said they expected stock the end of this week just gone but I haven't heard anything about it shipping yet. Fingers crossed it'll get dispatched sometime soon...
I did however ask around on Instagram and everyone I asked said it sounded pretty good
Thanks for the reply. I'm so close to just pulling the trigger on it. I've seen them for under $30 now, so it's really not that big of a risk I guess.
Decisions...

I ordered one. I'll update you guys when it comes...
Any update on this? I'm crossing my fingers the bootleg sounds good.

I try very hard to inspect and play records as soon as I can and then contact the seller with any issues. If there are any visual issues like something wildly over graded just on sight, I take the best picture I can and shoot it to the seller. Nine times out of ten, I get a reply apologizing and offering a deal, which I usually take.
I've taken a partially refund in the few cases where I've had an issue. I bought a Pink Floyd 7" that was graded NM but had a large chip on the outer ring. The record was packed really well so I was pretty sure it wasn't a situation where it was damaged in shipping. I sent a pic to the seller, he apologized and offered a partial refund. I could still play the record as long as I was careful, so I took it and we left positive feedback for each other.
The last time I can remember it happening was with a Sam Cooke 7". The seller not only over graded it, but took a long time to ship. When it arrived, it was G at best on sight alone, but it was graded NM- when it was listed. I gave it a spin just to be sure and it sounded awful. It took me a couple of PMs to get any reply which was that the seller wanted to send another copy. I declined and said I'd rather go with someone else since I'd already waited a long time for this copy just to be disappointed. I offered to send it back if he wanted, but he never replied. He just issued a refund so I bought it from someone else and tossed the bad one.
I left neutral feedback seeing as he did issue a refund, but I left a comment saying that he took a long time to ship, the record was over graded by a long shot but that he did issue a refund. He never left any feedback for me and never did reply any further.

UPS mail inovations. quite common. Fedex does it too.
Happened to me recently too. I know it was a record, but I can't remember who it was from. Either way, it was tracking as a UPS shipment, then it switched to USPS and they actually delivered it.
