  1. Here's the deal for NETHERLANDS (and other overseas lands): our shipping calculator says that is 5 pounds, so it has to go PRIORITY. If, by chance, it comes in at 4 pounds then it could go FIRST CLASS and that would save about $10... and we would give you a refund. Just mention that in the comments section. Overseas shipping is expensive. I suppose if you are getting more than one grab bag that the postage-per-record would be a lot lower.
  2. HUH. THAT SEEMS TO BE A WEIRD GLITCH. People HAVE ordered them. I see that my original links have no BUY button, but there IS one if you go HERE... and they are the first three listings... http://www.noidearecords.com/catalog/
  3. THREE DIFFERENT GRAB BAGS!! They are the first three listings... here: http://www.noidearecords.com/catalog/ Feel the insanity!! Bonus test pressings will be randonly inserted here and there too, so you might get even luckier!!
  4. These are gone now. We will make a different version soon... and all will be right in the world!
  5. Jack Control did the digital mastering at Enormous Door. Chris and I are choosing the songs / order and pondering final art. Cool, huh?
  6. THE SWARM "Parasitic Skies" LP http://www.noidearecords.com/bands/releases/swarm_parasitic.php Vinyl re-cut in 2012 by Dave Eck at LUCKY LACQUERS. Covers screen printed by AESTHETIC PRINT & DESIGN. 106 hand-numbered copies on olive green vinyl. Go! TOP SHELF INTERVIEW with CHRIS COLOHAN http://www.leadusdown.com/2013/02/the-top-shelf-presents-the-swarm-parasitic-skies/ About The Top Shelf Dave Drobach and Matt Sweeting can talk about records. They have experience that can only come from combined decades of touring in numerous bands and working at a record label. No Idea’s finest bring in the creators of great albums we have all come to love, to sit down, reflect and reminisce on these recordings. There are three pieces to a Top Shelf interview. The interview team of Dave and Matt, a band member and the vinyl record itself. The record is played in its entirety, stopped in between songs to discuss the writing, recording and touring that happened around the record. Top Shelf session interviews are recorded live in the Grow Radio studios during the weekly show they run called “2nd Avenue Shuffle.” These are your favorite albums, with commentary found nowhere else. Archived monthly at Lead Us Down.
  7. PAINT IT BLACK "Invisible" 7" April 2, 2013 NO IDEA RECORDS NIR-325 1. Greetings, Fellow Insomniacs 2. Headfirst 3. Props for Ventriloquists 4. Little Fists 5. D.F.W. 6. Invisible "This new record has been in the works for what feels like a long time. So long, in fact, that it seems like a lot of people, us included, stopped believing it was really going to happen. The challenges of geography, too many bands and tours, and other more mundane aspects of adult life, all conspired to delay and discourage us. But here we are, despite these obstacles, with a new record and a renewed sense of purpose. And in a way, that’s what these new songs, and this band, are really all about. This music, and the culture and community that surround it, don’t really have an expiration date, even though the larger world around us would have us believe that these are childish things, to be put aside as we become responsible, productive citizens. Now, that is obviously bullshit of the highest order. But this isn’t about avoiding adulthood; it’s about redesigning it so that it doesn’t clash so violently with our most deeply held beliefs. It’s about the compromises we refuse to make, but also about the subtle negotiations between ideals/aspirations & day-to-day pragmatics. It’s about figuring out how to keep making noise even when life quiets down. Yes, it’s about parenthood, but it’s also about deliberately resisting corrupt mainstream value systems, even (especially) when they’re bombarding you from all sides. It’s about brutal, devastating loss. More than ever, it’s about alienation and outrage. We can’t wait to share it with you." http://www.noidearecords.com http://www.paintitblack.org http://www.r5productions.com/event/220161-paint-it-black-record-release-philadelphia/
  8. With any luck we will have similar quantities of both "This is Not an All Red, Neon Body" LP and "I Know a Girl Who Develops Crime Scene Photos" LP at some point later this year.
  9. COMBATWOUNDEDVETERAN "Duck Down for the Torso" new 10" pressing!! Yes, it is somewhat music on a relatively possible format! Again! Two new colors: 200 made total. http://www.noidearecords.com/bands/releases/combat_duckdown.php
  10. PURPLE and WHITE do indeed exist for mailorder as of... NOW!! There are still some GREEN for those waiting for the other colors! If you still need a YELLOW or BLUE, we have a few with dinged covers... an example is found below. I tilted it until the light reflected and I raised the contrast so you could see the ding more easily. Some are on other sides of the cover, depending on which direction the records were in the box when they shipped. (All of these were in one box together.) PLEASE SPECIFY COLOR in the COMMENTS SECTION of your order. Please mention "dinged cover" for the YELLOW or BLUE if you want one. http://www.noidearecords.com P.S.: We might even have a RED copy for anyone that missed that one, but I'm not entirely sure yet.
  11. The new pressing of the BILLY NO MATES "Duck, Duck Goose" LP is on PURPLE and TRANSLUCENT SOMETHING vinyl. (For anyone in the dark, the band is lead by Duncan from SNUFF... and it sounds quite a bit like, um, SNUFF, haha!!)
  12. NPR even aired a piece on the postal rate increase and how it effects independent record labels: http://www.npr.org/blogs/therecord/2013/01/29/170498909/rising-postal-rates-squeeze-small-record-labels
  13. –– That appears to be the current pressing. The A/B record is very distinct split color, whereas the C/D is hard to notice unless you look. There will be fluctuations over the course of the pressing. –– Never Ender had some mix-split within recent memory, but those are gone.
  14. I know it's silly, but I forget which ones did NOT end up on split-color already? Last year we had a few earth-toned split colors.
  15. I am sure that most mailorder places will be cool with helping you, especially if you are a regular and have gotten to know the actual humans who are gathering your orders together. That is how we work and I'm sure many labels and distros are similar. For us, just put in the comments section that you want the records set aside for combining with a later order. As long as you are paying as you go, there should not be a problem. That said, with No Idea you should also write to Matt or Geis to clarify what you want to happen.F.Y.I.: Matt is madly working to get the last few overseas orders shipped in the next two hours before the post office closes.
  16. It does suck, but yes... If you order a single record from overseas, you are going to get nailed. Of course, you were already, but now it is more severe. Canada is a huge jump for one LP and I have no clue why. Really, what held true before still does: if you are ordering from overseas, you should order several records at a time... Or get together with friends and order together. Another possibility is that overseas local distros and stores will see a bump as they will be ordering larger boxes and will be able to offer better prices in their home towns, comparatively. That sounds good to me too.
  17. A couple people have asked me if we still have blue and yellow. We do not. We have red and green. Red is running low. You should be able to find blue and yellow (and red) in stores and through other places for a little while. We're out of blue and yellow, but that just means we shipped many of them all out to other places.
  18. I half joked about making the white ones 13" records but shipping them would be a nightmare!(spoiler alert: the white ones are for sure 12".)
  19. The green have been up for order for a week or so, but the records are actually all here now. The colors have been going pretty fast, which is inspiring. We will have purple in a couple weeks. I would not be surprised if red is gone before then. Wacky!
