  1. It only happened to settle a wager someone on this board had. Or to settle an argument. Or maybe just to stir up a hornet's nest. One of those options.
  2. OFFICIAL FIRST CC ORDER goes to: Mr. Hickey. OFFICIAL FIRST PP ORDER goes to: Billy Stringer.
  3. I lied. It's up there RIGHT NOW. *** Click on the $8.50 LP option. *** PJ didn't have time to do it "correctly" as he is in the airport, so I did it the sorta flakey way. Click on the $8.50 LP option. Hey. Ho.
  4. Hey, the guy what runs our site is in California this week. That means he ain't gonna wake up until, what, 3 PM EST? So... I expect he won't get it up there until around then. Not sure. Sorry. I thought it would be up there earlier. Will post again once I hear from him. And yeah, it's PJ, but it's not his fault. Blame yourself. :'(
  5. But if there's a chance of 210g now as well, it has to make you think that maybe it actually does sound better? I can't wait to hear the differences, if any. You be the judge.
  6. We will never re-press the FHH/Gunmoll split. We have plenty. Maybe separately as part of "collections" someday, but never again as a split. There's no need.
  7. Things to know: -- The 180 Gram will be $8.50 -- We only made 100, but we will make more later on. Most likely. -- These will just be available as a third option when you go to the RAR thingy on our site (www.noidearecords.com). And on the right side column on our main page. -- I told YOU jackasses about this first. -- If you try to order more than one, you may or may not get more than one. Depends on how many orders we get. It would help if you told us who the extra copy was for. Be honest. If the extra copy is for Ebay, just be honest. -- I don't know when this will appear on the site. Sorry! I am interweb illiterate! -- Yes, if you really want to know, we do prefer Visa, Mastercard, and Discover over Paypal... but we have NO problem with Paypal either. So pay however you want. Or cash, although that takes longer to arrive. But at least some giant corporation doesn't take a bite! -- We will also be making some 210 Gram as well. Not sure when those will show. Maybe soon. Who knows? -- The plant does not press 180 or 210 on colored vinyl, so calm down. You are not THAT doomed after all. Ha.
  8. A few thoughts and responses: 1. one hundred (but I make no promise that we will not make more). 2. Yes, the picture disc is still in the planning stages. 3. Manboner.
  9. Rare! BLACK VINYL! Okay, dorks... ooops, I mean UBER DORKS, I have some of these sitting in front of me: AGAINST ME! "RAR" LP on 180 Gram, black vinyl. So. Now you have something to compare if you want to open up the debate on whether 180 sounds better than 120 (standard). I will say this: 180 is 50% heavier than 120 (appx). So you can FEEL the difference. We have not figured out the costs, but I will post back here when we figure it out, hopefully later today.
  10. the plant recently switched glues. It used to be more like a "hot glue" and the new stuff seems to stay "gluey" a little longer. I found one like you described, but all I had to do was squeeze it back together and it seemed to stick. We are going to mention it to the plant. They make a large amount of the LP jackets that are used, probably the biggest plant, so... I suspect it will be a prevalent thing, at least for a period. Yikes! That said, it seems to only effect a small amount of the covers. Weird!
  11. our discography info for "No D" is not right. I'm not exactly sure, but it will get fixed. One of the pressings was only 2 colors: stock blue and an awesome purple, the same purple that we used on the first pressing of the YOUNG LIVERS record. It was a weird color that the plant had briefly. It was a solid opaque purple, no streaks. Perfectly matched the YL art. And, for the record, the stock blue is my favorite color so far for No D. ...Probably.
  12. wasn't someone on this board looking for an opaque orange / brown Moonpies or Moments 7"? (I forget which one)
  13. Oh yeah? -- Did anyone notice that these are in a regular jacket now (with an insert)? -- If anyone got a copy of "Flight" with the bullshit photocopied insert... and you would like the fancy full color insert... just mention that next time you do an order. Gross.
  14. No, you dipshits, it's gotta be: -- CHICAGO "sundays in the park" picture disc 10" -- Which is cool, because I'm putting out this up and coming band from BOSTON, called...
  15. I wonder... do you think this has anything to do with STANDARD MAIL (media rate) versus PRIORITY MAIL? Hmmm...
  16. Please do. We have White and Blue 2nd press now. And they both look cool. Jennifer really wanted Blue and she got it! Good call on her part!
  17. We are kinda freaked out by this. We have heard of three copies that had similar things happen. All three by people we are either in kahoots with or know who are. Weird. These are the same mailers we use all day, every day. I am left to think that maybe something happened at the same point in their journey. Like in a hub in California? I am particularly bummed because we have no back up copies. Ordinarily, I'd say "send them on back" and we would replace them. Not even an option this time. So... if anyone wants to return one, please do. We will give you a credit. Not a perfect solution, but... I extend the offer. -- Judging from the photos I've seen, we could have packed these in triple-layered cardboard and they would still be crushed. Freaking bummed!
  18. Direct, there were 35 of each color in stock, as of yesterday. Down from 500 of each color. There are many copies floating in the universe, like in actual record stores (or soon to be in stores). We attempted to mix the colors before they shipped so that if a store orders 5 copies, there's a fair chance they will get all 3 colors. No promises.
  19. Glad it worked for you! This is still an experiment in the works, i.e.: no mention of the download anywhere in advance. We may or may not continue this for later pressings. We decided to keep it going for the second pressing, since it was so close to the first. This is something we will do from time to time, but as I mentioned somewhere, we are not doing it ALL the time. Do not come to expect it with any regularity. I doubt we will do it for vinyl-only releases, for example. Sometimes the genie is purposely left in the bottle.
