I agree with you there for sure. Most of me cannot wait to have this literal weight lifted off of me, but then there's part of me thats like "are you sure you can't live with them??" Then I think about how much better / more comfy it'll be to pick out a wedding dress without having to worry about boobage lol.
At this point I'm good, I can still see with my glasses. I have lattice in the back of my eyes which give me little flashes of white in the corners of my eyes sometimes, but other than that my eye dr says i'm healthy in that dept.
That's good, hopefully it never comes to that. I love glasses, so I've never bothered trying contacts.
Good luck with the other stuff, since I'm sure that surgery is not very fun either.

Ah crap I didn't even think about them fucking up! I just can't deal with the thought of your eye being vacuumed out of your socket a bit and then the whole using fine needles to lift the lenses off your eyes to replace with new ones. Especially since I make a living by how I see things lol.
I loooooved wearing contacts. I wish I still could. Unfortunately my allergies have gotten so bad where I can't wear them anymore. Glasses forever!
Oh my gosh I had no idea you had a pacemaker. Here I am complaining about a borderline (but mostly medical) cosmetic surgery and you have to have another painful procedure like that. I'm sorry. I'm just trying to get my boobs chopped off, lol.
Haha, don't mean to scare you if you need it done, but the possibility is always there. Thankfully my eyes are not very bad, just enough to need glasses. My mom's eyes are horrible, and she will need surgery at some point too. I'm hoping my eye genes are from my dads, since his are fine other then glasses.
How long do pacemaker's last Jason? Will you have to get another after the next one? Hopefully they've improved a ton, so you won't have any issues that point forward.

I completely understand being scared. I have really poor vision but I cannot handle the idea of lasik. I'm such a mess when it comes to my eyes. I can touch them no problem (years of contact lenses), but I get so freaked out thinking about having that procedure.
My boyfriend's father had cataract surgery a year or so ago and now he's got whatever is above and beyond 20/20 vision. He was nightblind prior to that.
I have to get surgery at the end of this year and even tho I've been under before (splenectomy in 2006), I can't help but feel nervous about it simply because I'm older now and have more of an understanding of the complications and foul play. Luckily my surgeon came really highly recommended and the procedure is very common.
I'd be worried about having eye surgery done too, since if they fuck up, you're blind. I can put eye drops in fine, but I can't touch my eyes. I've never even attempted contacts, only glasses.

But you DO get cheaper vinyl!
It's a great system when it works. Sadly it's bloated beyond breaking point by bureaucratic nonsense and complete abuses of the system.
Obviously everywhere has problems, but I'd rather have that problem then pay a private company who is not guaranteed to be good on their word for something I pay for. Good old insurance of any kind.
We may get cheaper vinyl, but you're money is stronger and your wages are higher.

For all its faults, the NHS is pretty good for the bank balance at these crazy time (I realise we pay into it every month through taxes) and we are lucky to have it.
A much better solution then crazy insurance premiums and hidden costs we have here. Heaven forbid we have "socialized" medicine in Merika.

Yeah, laptop charger isn't fun.
Did some searching for the guy who ripped me off because I'm going to file a police report and HOLY SHIT THIS DUDE IS NUTS
Yeah, I dropped my laptop and it hit the power brick on the charger so the connection to the cord is lose. I have to shake it around to get it to power, but it won't charge. I paid for overnight shipping, so it better ship today and get here tomorrow.

I need fucking TWO root canals and I have zero insurance.
Damn, that sucks. Try medicaid, you probably qualify for some of it.

Well that excruciating tooth pain is going to require $6,000 to go away. Fuck. I'm fucked.
What?! Why? Abscess? That is insane.

Just ordered a new belt for my table, which will hopefully fix the slowness issues it has. Also waiting on a new laptop charger, since mine decided it does not like to work well anymore. Yay stuff.

Hope your mom's surgery goes well Jason.

I'll order a new belt today. Seems weird since it is supposed to have been a new belt.

Waiting for the vinyl to listen. I will never understand USPS shipping routes- starts at the Cleveland origin facility, arrives at a Pennsylvania origin facility after 2 days, and now is hopefully on its way to me (Minneapolis). Why go all the way to the east coast first? Gah.
The major distribution center in this area is the one in PA, and 99% of mail has to go through their distros. It's just over the line from Ohio. Try living 20 minutes from Cleveland and seeing your package go over an hour away :P.

I already took the belt off, wiped it down and readjusted it. I'd be pissed if it's the motor, since it was serviced and recapped back in October. I should probably take it back to the shop I bought it from before messing with it.
Edit: I used RPM for iOS.

My Harman Kardon T60 suddenly started to sound slow at 33, so I measured it with an app and it's only spinning at 31.25 rpms with quartz lock on. 45 is pretty much on. What would cause the qaurtz to slow down? I know I can open it up and mess with the pots to adjust the speed, which I will do a some point, but it'd be nice to know why it suddenly slowed down. Motor going, bad belt? Any ideas?
With the pitch control it' pretty much up to speed, slightly slow on 33 (way too fast on 45) but still sounds good, but it's annoying to mess with it all the time.

I messaged Chris's Bigcartel.
I'll try them again. Just sent Chris another email to see if he's heard anything. I refuse to give up at this point.

Yeah, they showed up a few days ago. Wednesday, I believe.
Did you order through Really records, and sent the message to Chris's bigcartel page, or did you message Really records page?

What a fun day with my TT deciding not to keep speed, and now my laptop's backlight went out. I managed to get the turntable up to like 32.9 speed, so stuff does not sound nearly as bad, but I have to fuck with it everytime I want to listen to a 45. I'm going to take it back to the shop I got it from, and see if he'll fix it for free, since it's only been like 6 months.

I just love living a half hour from Cleveland and having the USPS take my package from Cleveland to PA to me. So stupid.
Yeah, it'ss annoying that it has to go through the main distro center.
Record looks awesome, despite the picture disc being kinda shitty (warped, flimsy, hard to see the grooves). My TT decided to take a shit at 33 (plays too slow) so can't play the album until I fix it later. The bonus tracks sound awesome, but don't fit the album feel much, so I can see why they left them off.

I've been watching movie trailers for an hour, because the phone is not ringing at all. Only 90 mins left....
