In general I just wanted to hear some opinions on this first. The petition would be the next step! I want to hear some reactions and want to get sure there is enough interest and support to push this through.

So I saw this thread right here (http://boards.vinylcollective.com/topic/94538-petition-to-get-bicycle-music-comp-to-repress-afi-all-hallows/?hl=petition) and was quite delighted! Although this needs a lot more signings, the idea seems to work.

 

I thought about this and I was thinking that there could be some other records for which we could set up such a petition! My first thoughts were about the debut LP by La Dispute named Vancouver. This one reaches prices above 300$ sometimes and I heard a lot of people demanding this but no one ever tried with a petition.

 

What do you think about it?

Do you think that labels will answer the requests? I know some guys of the most labels which would be involved (No Sleep and so on) are on here, so your opinion from the side of a label would be interesting too!

 

PS: Contra arguments are totally ok but please don't show up with "I bought this record for 600$! I don't want a repress".

WHAT !? No I haven't even though Celle is just about 30 minutes from Hannover where I live! I will definitely catch them soon! Glad to support such a cool local band! Even though it's funny I got to know them via this board !

I've been waiting for this sooo long! Love ET since 2006 or something. One of the first melodic HC bands I came in touch with!

Although the shipping at merchnow always kills me.. hope they break up the bundles though. The shipping for the bundle with the 7" and the cream LP is just horribly high! There is no chance of getting this through a european retailer isn't it?

Next time they announce something similar and it

isn't limited to one per customer I will snag some more if some of you need it and I'll send it to you for cost!

They got some legal issues there. Don't know much about it :/ I hope they will compensate you!

 

Good god I want this badly, but 70 dollars shipping to the UK is just insane. How much would private postage to the UK cost for something like this? Would anyone be able to help a brother out?

I don't know and I've got kind of the same problem living in Germany as well but I guess this wouldn't change much ! The shipping costs were raised last year or something and except ordering it through an european based retailer we don't have options I guess :/ !

any european retailer? I'd might go for this if I don't have to pay additional 50$ for shipping !

As far as we all know it will be only the boxset (as a whole and nothing else) and the DVD! As soon as it is announced with a date and specific information (pressing info and so on..) some will probably try to sell their original presses, try to snag one there! Will be cheaper than the whole set I guess !

Not sure if anyone has seen it but Backsiderecords (the shop where Jeremy works) apparently has 3 record release variants on sale throught discogs http://www.discogs.com/sell/list?release_id=4930687&ev=rb ! The description says "Transparent dark blue"!

Yo guys! Don't know if anyone has seen it but I just found the pressing info for this on the official txt!

So the "under 1000" for the transparent was wrong information I guess. The white seems to be a tour variant or something !?

I haven't got a shipping notification yet I bought and paid it instantly after the message went up here!
