Probably Jimmy Billingham's latest LP (as HOLOVR) and the new Mister Lies LP.

I feel like this is a band that people only know of because of Mineral and Jimmy Eat World, myself included.
or because of Further Seems Forever or Jonah Matranga/onelinedrawing. such a good record – remember finding a used CD copy at age 15. wasn't all that long ago!
-
if you don't find a lot buyer, i'm interested in the Beat Happening + Purling Hiss tapes. let me know!
-
the cinema have a few solid, solid tracks – really enjoyed the first album, for sure. and i think the new record will be a good listen. but not sure why people want dance pop on vinyl, no matter how much indie cred its writers have...
aaron marsh sounds so uncomfortable and out of place in that preview clip. -
You bought two copies of this?
Vinyl is a hell of a drug. Grabbed a copy, cuz this record's a keeper
-
anyone else get a chance to listen to the Mr. Lies LP stream yet? honestly blown away by this record, especially as it compares to his back-catalogue. great blend of atmosphere, glitch, and top-notch arrangements.
-
damn, both of their records are serious quality. i've only ever seen them for ridiculous prices on discogs, though.
-
haha the musical staff cupcakes kill me

Is it a HOMESHAKE song that isn't available anywhere else???
nah, it was just an EU release of the HOMESHAKE Tape. back before we started making our own tapes.
-
You mentioned homeshake, who I've long digged. Is he from that scene? There's some similarities to that guitar style on the robert loveless stuff.
My label did a digital release with him. He was touring with Mac DeMarco for the better part of Mac's career (Canada's finest!), but recently left to focus on Homeshake (Mac told me he was an [unprintable] who hated touring, but Mac's always goofing off). Another solid musician from Mac's circle of friends is Alex Calder, who's working with Captured Tracks to put out an LP.
And another unforgettable bedroom musician is Astronaut Husband. Definitely check out his new LP (which, full disclaimer, we'll have on tape in a little while haha).

CT has been promising a variety of represses for a while, but only a few of them have come to fruition.
-
i was *this close* to ordering Rules from Birdtapes back in late June, but had money concerns. really mad at myself in retrospect, especially since i might've ended up with SALT in the order, it seems. bummer life, friends.
-
Nice Avi homie
another underrated bedroom musician albeit one who hates the stellar legacy he left behind with that record. oh well – at least he's still making solid music with his fancy studio and stuff
-
much love for the paulsons and haze tapes. sorry to see them fold. inglenook and the creech lp are some of my favorite tapes. wish i had been on the ball with Trick, but i'm sure i'll find a copy someday
also, just a hi in general. longtime reader, firsttime poster. love for orchid tapes, and hope to get to know some of you fine folks on here as well! -
good luck cmon CT, repress your best OOP records already!
-
i second this - any tooth and nail/screaming giant/bettie rocket/solid state/velvet blue music/burnt toast vinyl cds
oh my gosh, bettie rocket! never had a single one of their CDs in hand, but boy do i wish...
-
who pays $10 for a **used Staind CD**??
-
so sad i missed out on the super-limited edition, but since they're repressing, i think i can wait until then.
