Whats the difference between a $15 pyle pre amp and a $200 one?
-
I wish I had coughed up the money for the yellow vinyl now. It looks 10x better in that pictures than it did on the website
-
I pre ordered this from amazon and was expecting it to ship today but its out of stock? WTF!? How can they be out of stock if it came out today. Has this happened to anyone before?
-
do the black copies have download codes?
-
^lucky. I didn't really like NTAHS but Spreading Rumours is one of my favorite albums of 2013
-
I like most of the album except Royals. It amazing me every day how that became the hit it is.
-
Googling about a hot topic variant of a Yellowcard album
-
Thats not bad then. Thanks

How long should the belt on the orbit last with moderate use?
-
What keeps the belt from stretching really easy? If you're constantly switching from 45s to LPs wouldn't the speed be affected?
-
I think I'm going to pass as well even though the Racs are my favorite Jack band. RSDBF is coming up soon
-
Also is the $180 the shipped price or is shipping extra?

I like my AT LP120 a lot. But had I done more research, Knowing what I know now, I would have purchased a Carbon debut, or just waited to purchase a U turn when they started rolling out their models if the reviews were good. The AT LP120 is definitely a nice step up from a crosley, but if you're not going to rip vinyl to mp3s then it's really not worth it unless you modify it. even then, because the tone arm runs through so many different processors before it actually hits the speakers (due to the crap built in preamp, And the mp3 encoding circuitry) it kind of 'dampens' the sound as it is, add being able to hear the turntable motor running slightly in between songs and I feel I'm definitely not getting as near a pure audio sound as I could be if I owned a better player.
Thanks, I wouldn't use it to rip the records to mp3, just to play them. I think if the UTurn gets good reviews I'm going to go with that.

Man, I really want one of these. I still have a shitty crossly-like table and have been meaning to upgrade for a while.
Is this Audio Technica ATLP120 worth the extra money over the U-Turn?

Woah woah woah... Slow down killer. It did NOT suck. Don't spread any misinformation here.. Listen to all their albums because they're fun and they rock
I still listen to Here We Stand on occasion, I just think its their sophomore slump album. I'm just saying that if I had heard Here We Stand first I probably would have stopped there and not picked up Costello Music
-
^ Yeah, start with their first album which has almost no filler because their second album, Here We Stand, sucked.
-
They are releasing the new album after a couple year hiatus and the lead single, Seven Nights Seven Days sounds really good.
The 180 gram vinyl pre order is here http://www.thefratellis.com

^YES
A repress of Hot Fuss and Day And Age, and Sam's Town on black vinyl instead of that POS picture disk
-
Is there going to be a standard edition too, like a 2x12" set as well?
-
If the set is $60 or under I would consider it but I'm not keeping my hopes up. I'm guessing its going to be $80-$100.
-
Depending on the price those 5x10" records sound real nice.
-
A while ago I found a copy of Arctic Monkey's Humbug for only $4.50 on amazon, in new condition.
-
I think all the U2 albums from Achtung Baby to No Line need 180 gram represses.

Brendan Benson "One Mississippi"
One of my most listened to CDs and would love it on vinyl.

I thought I ordered the black version from an amazon seller and it came today and it ended by being clear! Made my day
