Josh! Everything's good, buddy. You?
-
I lent somebody once and never got them back.

It's a slang term for a sea dwelling creature that makes a bass-drop womp womp noise.
On a srs note, am I the only one who thinks Sonny resembles a Blobfish?
This is maybe one of the funniest things I have ever seen.
It's been my experience that '90s kids, with their ironic sweaters and haircuts that look like math problems, don't know shit about shit. Or, rather, they only know shit about shit, so I don't even bother. If their parents didn't teach them about Tom Petty and Keith Richards, they are beyond help at this point.

I have been around. Doing well, thanks. Non-functioning internet + obsessive checking of message boards = non-compatible. How are you dudes?
and dudette! ;]
Of course! There's more than one of yous, too, by the way. Right? Like two more?

Shaq + this:

What'd I miss? Thread links to lulz, serious internet business, and other entertainments will be appreciated.

Bummed to hear about the vinyl quality. All of my Merge records are pretty solid. Hopefully I can pick this up Saturday night a little cheaper than what's been mentioned here. Anyone else going to Archers reunion shows?

Chumscrubber?
this, or thumbsucker? one of the two.
it was the same director, and i know i've seen them both, but i don't remember which was which.
were there a ton of polyphonic spree and elliott smith songs in it?
Thumbsucker isn't British. But it is the one with the ES/Polyphonic Spree OST.

Well if it matters, everyone whosgot money invested in these companies will be allowed to withdrawl what they have in their accounts. So I read.
Wish this was the first response in this thread.

I feel like musically Against Me! has, but obviously most people will look at their earlier stuff as their best content-wise, and probably overall sound, too.
I have nothing to add here, move along.
This just accentuates the point that increased technical prowess can be construed as a band getting "better" even though one's personal favorites by the band aren't their most recent efforts.
Case in point, I mentioned Propagandhi...their songwriting is getting more complex and they are shredding more, but my favorite album will always be Today's Empires.

yea, i mean box sets in general are usually pretty weak, but that nirvana one had loads and loads of just pure crap on it. there's maybe one disc worth of decent stuff. i'd rather have them put out an "insesticide ii" and add the judge stuff, that would be cool.
you know you're right
even in his youth
curmugeon
mv
marigold
hate myself and want to die
ain't it a shame
oh the guilt
gallons of rubbing alcohol flowing through the strip
endless nameless
that would be my tracklist
I would add Here She Comes Now, but otherwise flawless.

There's also a motorhead shirt or poster or something on the bottom left of the screen.

Okay well this will be my last post in thread. I honestly can't believe some of you guys are even serious. I love how the fact that I lost $4,000 (for the time being) has been totally glossed over so I'll try and put this in ways you can understand.
-Let's say the average price of City & Colour "Sometimes" is $150. The Department of Justice has confiscated 27 copies of "Sometimes" that I ordered and paid for. I can't get to my investment or my money right now. It's just gone and up in the air as to whether or not I will ever have access to it.
-I've heard several stories of people who sell records for a living. They need their copies of "Sometimes" to pay their college tuition. Somehow they're idiots and deserve this.
-I've heard a story of a well known pro who had purchased 3,333 copies ($500k). His 3,333 copies of "Sometimes" numbered to 500 are now gone.
Yeah I know. Who cares. Cry me a river. It's all soooo unimportant especially compared to real world problems like, "this guy didn't send me a record" or "this distro is selling their own rare records for profit on eBay." There's some real world problems. I'm the fucking idiot.
I was completely ready to reverse my stance on your topic. This is a good analogy. It's well thought out and I'm not being sarcastic.
However, the fact that the online poker companies willingly and knowingly defied federal laws and broke others (money laundering) renders the argument void. You personally have a shitty situation and if you had your money tied up in a non-criminal enterprise, I would have sympathy. However, looking at it objectively, I have to say that you sleep with dogs, you gets fleas. I would be similarly unimpressed if a drug dealer was on here complaining about having his stash raided by the po-po.
-
Where were you for the Patriot Act?
Where is your Free Bradley Manning thread?
Why aren't you exposing the pay-to-play bullshit going on in Washington?
If online poker is the straw that broke your back, then you have a lot to learn about the world around you.
This.

I spent 10 hours yesterday putting that fucking stage together in Orlando. 28 semi trucks of shit. Craziness. It was a bad ass stage set, though.
28 semi trucks of stage shit!? Dude I feel sorry for you if you have to set that up every night. So, can you tell us is Lady Gaga really into Minor Threat? I think it's just a coincidence.
Also I don't get the sign to the bottom right. It's weird.
I'm just local crew, not on the tour. Thankfully. Most of the set looked to be a mock up of NYC. The signs I think are a comment on the materialism and shock value of the culture which I don't get because Lady Gaga certainly is part of that demographic. This pic is only the stage left side. On stage right there was a sign that said "GOLD TEETH" and underneath it said "MR. BLING BLING'S", but it totally looked like "MR. BUNG BUNG'S".

I really wish he'd change his avatar from Shai Hulud because it's really making me not want to listen to them. He should change it to Nickelback or something.
Hating on Nickelback? Are you 13 years old? Or was that supposed to be....like.... a joke? A Nickelback joke? Is it 2004? You're fucking garbage.
Did they get better? Anyway, I'm sure there are more, more current terrible bands out there, but I don't keep my ear to the ground for the newest in crap. My crap threshold has been reached and exceeded by every thread you come up with. Also,
-
I called it early on, but every thread this guy makes ends up being the worst. Even Ke$ha Guy's threads have some redeeming qualities.

it's called: getting a real, legit job like everyone else. or going on welfare. either/or is always an option.
tell those college kids to just take out loans like i did. and i'm sure 95% of people are forced to do.
Wow you sound like a real asshole. What a fucking hater you are.
Real job? I doubt you have ever had a job in your life that you have put as much effort into as I have learning and getting good at poker. Hand analysis, ranges, odds, implied odds. It's a lot of fucking work. Have you ever gotten finished with your job and then spent hours analyzing how good you did at your job so you could have better results in the future at your job? Discussed strategies with other employees to attain more success?
Do you know what it takes to make a decent living playing poker? Spending more time on it than you would a "real job." You're just an asshole.
Welfare and college loans? Fuck you. What kind of advice is that? I don't know what demon I woke up on this forum. Sorry this is some real shit going down in the news that affects my real life.
Fuck ya'll. Go back to posting "u mad" pics and talking shit about something you know nothing about.
Man, you are dangerously close to "taking life too seriously". Also, the strategy of going into hulk rage after somebody says "u mad" does not disprove their point. You are not a talented debater. It's probably because...
-
For realz bro, you should totally be able to launder money and defraud banks if you want. What kind of country do we live in where businesses have to abide by laws and shit? FuCK. THISSSS.
Seriously man, play Farmville or something.

replacements
Fixed. All Shook Down is awesome. And Pat is right about this thread. I know that some of my favorite bands have made albums that are not good when listened to objectively, but them being my favorites inclines me to make allowances for them. Superchunk and The Replacements are two of my favorite bands, but I will say that they have made some sleepers in their time.

getting high with your parents???
in Everything Else Message Board
Posted
I've done drugs with my dad. He wasn't really a parental figure, so it didn't seem weird. Just not a person I would have preferred to get high with. I was an adult at the time, anyway. I back the statement that if someone is an adult, are doing whatever it is responsibly, it's all good. That said, I definitely used my knowledge of my parents' drug use as justification for my own and I took mine a lot further than my parents did. Sometimes I think it would have been better if I hadn't known their history. But I don't want to hide my experience from my kids when they're old enough to know about it. It's a tricky fucking subject, really. I guess the difference is I came out the other side and can talk about consequences and lessons I learned about drug use. I never heard anything but advocation from my parents.
